Great hotel for those who want to be in the heart of the old town. This hotel has lots of charm and character, very clean and well maintained. We were in room 16 on the 3rd floor, the lift only went to the 2nd floor so you had to walk up the final flight, the stairs were a little steep, however this was not a problem for us. The room had a very high ceiling with wooden beams, and due to this, the lighting was extremely poor in the room. At night, it does get a little loud with people coming out of the bars, but you have to expect that due to the central location, this is outweighed by how close you are to the square. One think I didn’t like was the minute you arrived, the receptionist was trying to sell you a sightseeing tour. But overall great find, and would definitely go back next time in Prague.

This hotel is in the middle of the central Prague, still peaceful and convenient. We had room #5 in the first floor, facing backside of the church. Beautiful, high ceiling, warm with big bathroom. Only not-perfect thing we’re the pillows but we did not bother to ask. Nice, small hotel feeling, ordinary breakfast, tiny bar and restaurant too. Evening fun and food is everywhere around, jazz and sports Bar to select within 100 meters. Road construction was a bit noisy but due to time difference it did not bother us - were already awake when it started at 0700. Probably finished soon.

We patronised this hotel restaurant twice during our week's stay in Prague and would have gone a third time but for the fact that we ran out of time, and Prague has many fine restaurants which delight. The Cerny Slon was characterised by distinctly old world, fine dining at reasonable prices. The pork loin with potatoes and the chicken breast with couscous were absolutely delicious. The service delighted as well; some of the waiters are distinguished, older gentlemen who clearly take professional pride in their work and exhibit an old-world charm that is not easily found these days. The ambience is old-world as well: comfortable, cozy, tasteful, tranquil. We unreservedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fine meal in this kind of setting.

Perfect location in the old town, surrounded by great bars, restaurants, shops and interesting things to do, everything important and within walking distance to the Charles Bridge and Prague Cathedral.
Almost hidden down an alley off the main square leading out into a charming little street, the hotel has been well-maintained and restored with care. The decoration inside is of a period and rich in atmosphere. The room was lovely, spacious and with a painted ceiling. The breakfast was good and taken in a dining room on the ground floor. The restaurant menu also looked good with a selection of traditional dishes.
Check-in was pleasant and all of the staff were professional and polite.
I was very pleased with my stay and would like to again if I have the good fortune.

Perfect location and a beautiful little hotel. However, like all hotels in Old Town, the foot traffic and partygoers walking past, it’s not for light sleepers. Would highly recommend this hotel regardless! Nice clean rooms and great ambiance.
