The Hotel Duo doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is a different story inside. The Reception area is very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a little early for check-in, but we were quite happy to get a drink from the bar and relax in the lounge area while they were made up. The bedrooms were very clean, and well appointed. The hotel is outside of the city centre, but the Metro station is just across the road and for about £10 you can get a three day travel pass from the tobacconists which you can use on the Metro, buses and trams. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the city centre and once there most of the attractions are within walking distance. The breakfasts were good with a range of cereals, fruits, cold meats and cheese, and cooked items such as scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and also omelettes which were made to order. The hotel was very busy, but apart from some waiting at the bar in the evening, the service was very good. The hotel has a pool and gym (which we didn't try) and ten-pin bowling lanes (which we did use). The bar in the bowling area is very good value for money and also serves great food.

Had dinner twice in the Formanka Restaurant. Olesya & Michaela waited on us and were incredible. Oleysa guided through choosing wine(asked for local Red,enjoyed Valtice Moravino) Meals were very good.

Everything is excellent! Breakfast is yummy, rooms are comfortable and clean, room service is done professionally everyday. Staff is friendly.
Only problem I encountered was with temperature regulation but, than wasn't critical.

Much satisfied!

We visited hotel duo last week, it was part of BA holidays.We had a huge trust in BA as we have previously used their holiday deals for other countries so we assumed their 4 star rated hotel must be up to standards. However, its being absolute disappointment and it has ruined our experience. We had problem with bed bugs in our room and due to which my partner is currently going through a lot of pain and agony as she has been bitten and reacted severely. When informed hotel about the situation hotel management has clearly refused to accept they had beg bugs in room no 410. However, they changed our room when we complained but it was too late as my partner had suffered bites. The duty manger tried to help for sure but it doesn't make any difference when your customer has already suffered the damage.

Hotel Duo being 4 star hotel its not acceptable that you do not have a proper pest control regulations in place. You must also realise that this situation is not even accepted in hotel industry as we wanted to have peaceful holiday but we came home with a terrible terrible experience.

Also, British airways should not have such hotel on their list as its just given BA a bad name as right now. As your old customer being on your holidays previously you have lost your customer.

Room tip: Well find room with no bed bugs or be prepared to suffer

Dear Guest,

I felt terribly sorry for you having heard you had informed our staff about the bites you experienced. As you wrote at least I am glad that our Manager on Duty did her best to provide you with the necessary assistance.

I feel obliged to explain that after your informing us about the alleged bedbugs bites, we have moved you to another room and blocked the original room to have it thoroughly checked by the professionals and have it fumigated no matter we did not find any bedbugs in the room. This room will be out of service for a month for repeated treatments and monitoring to be sure that the room is in perfect order.

I fully understand your aggrevation which is reflected in this emotional review.

The last thing I would like to mention is that the cleanliness and customer service is our top priority, but unfortunately, there is no way how to prevent from somebody bringing in his/her suitcase an insect no matter the effort and preventative measures our and other hotels have implemented.

We stayed at Duo hotel for 3 nights, the hotel is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and polite specially the receptionist guy called Mohamed was really helpful.
The location was good, just 2 minutes walk from the metro station and 7 stops away from the city centre.
