Beautiful room, ideal location, friendly staff

Review of Domus Balthasar
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 4, 2019
We stayed in the large double room for 3 nights. The room was beautiful and really spacious and tastefully decorated. It was on a corner and had huge windows all round so was light and sunny.
The bed was extra large and really comfortable, the bathroom was also a good size with separate shower and extra large bath.Another very large window giving lots of light. The water was always hot and towels changed everyday. Everywhere was beautifully clean.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
It was in a fantastic location, just at the end of the Charles Bridge. There were lots of bars, restaurants and shops in the area and we were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to go.
We would definitely stay there again.

Dear Angela,

many thanks for such a nice and detailed review. We really appreciate it!

We are trying our best to make our guests happy, so it is always motivating to read words like yours.

Location of our hotel is perfect for exploring the new city. As you already mentioned we are situated only few steps from The Charles Bridge so everything is within the walking distance. Your spent your time with us in one of our finest rooms - DeLuxe, with nice view over the tower of The Charles Bridge and we are glad you liked it! :-) ( It is my favorite room too!)

We are looking forward to your next stay at Domus Balthsar!

Warm regards,

John
Domus Balthasar team

A unique designer hotel situated right in the mixer. We loved stepping into the room and opening the huge French colonial windows right out onto the famous Charles bridge in Prague. It’s a smaller boutique hotel with only 8 rooms but the rooms are lovely with great floor to ceiling height.

Just to note there are no elevators in this hotel and no air con so we had the fan on to cool down during summer. Really nice receptionist that showed us all the great places to visit. We couldn’t resist waking up for sunrise and taking advantage of heading over to Charles bridge in the early morning before the crowds of tourists.

Room tip: our room has a view of the Charles Bridge.

A quaint boutique hotel in an incredible location 10 seconds from Charles Bridge. The staff were very helpful and made our stay very nice. The room was big and the bathroom was modern. Note there is no AC or elevator as it is a historical building but the staff helped us by providing a fan.

Hard to find from the street but a really characteristic little boutique hotel at a great price in the centre of old town Prague. Enjoyed a short stay there and the friendly staff. Only a few rooms and LOT of stairs to get to the attic room we stayed in but more than worth the effort.

Domus Bakthasar was lovely. Right near CHARLES bridge, yet very quiet at night. Much larger room than I imagined. Included fridge, Microwave and even a range + huge bathroom with fantastic tub. Very good service. My only complaint was the breakfast cafe, as the choices were all American, and when abroad, I prefer to eat local types of food.

Dear ito12018,
Thank you for your kind feedback. It´s exactly as you´ve said – we are in the hearth of Prague in the most amazing district, but the thick stone walls and double windows makes the rooms quiet. Bagel cafe, which is not part of our hotel, is an american bistro, therefore they serve american food. We hope that you´ve enjoyed your stay here with us anyway. Wish you a nice rest of summer, best regards of Prague.

Our stay was short, only three days, but we have greatly enjoyed. The hotel is a veritable jewel, large room, very clean with amazing staff friendly and helpful. It is an old house without elevator and with screeching floor but these are no issues and they add to the overall aesthetics. Very happy with our choice, we will definitely come again!
Thank you!

Thank you so much for your nice words about our hotel and staff. It´s always an honor to know, that our service made your stay in our beautiful Prague city even better. =) We are really sorry about the absence of elevator nd AC, but it´s the price we must pay for such an amazing location and building.
