“Lovely residencies in a beautiful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2012

We had a spacious room that overlooked the garden/courtyard outside. The room was lovely, although the bed was 2 singles pushed together instead of a double. The hotel itself is very pretty, the neighbourhood is great - 5 mins from the castle but in a quiet and picturesque are next to the embassies. On that note don't be alarmed if your taxi is stopped and searched by police - it seems to be normal protocol due to the embassies nearby.
Breakfast was nice continental. No bar/restaurant but with so many nearby it was hardly missed.

we stayed in Hotel Appia from March 23 until March 28. We loved it very much. The room was spacious and very nice. Especially the bed was excellent. The whole hotel was very nicely restored and managed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood was quiet and with the security of the US Embassy nearby we felt very safe :). The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, walking distance from the main hot spots or from the excellent public transport.
The hotel offers very good quality for a reasonable price.

We will surely recommend the hotel to our friends and family and keep the hotel as our nr. 1 accomodation for a next visit.

We recently visited Prague for the first time and spent some considerable time researching where to stay. We decided on the appia residences in lesser town, it is in a very quiet area with a traditionall pub 50 yards away, it is a 10 min walk from the castle and 20 mins via Charles bridge to the main square. The hotel was excellent in every way, it was spotlessly clean the rooms were amazing, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent with nothing too much trouble. I hope to return to Prague one day and will DEFINATELY stay there again. Ps. The pub was well worth a visit, it was recommended by a member of the staff from te appia, the man who ran it was called Thomas and his beer was excellent at 1.36 a pint his food was excellent and would DEFINATELY recommend to eat here.

Room Tip: It was a luxury room with a terrace room 104

We stayed at Appia Residences for 2 nights in March. The hotel is really beautiful (renovated monastery building). The Prague castle is just 5 min. walk and the charles bridge approx. 10 min. nice walking thru Lesser Quarter. Staff was very helpful and professional. The breakfast Restaurant is also nice and the breakfast was excellent. We recommend this hotel and I hope we will stay here again.

If you are looking for a perfect place for a romantic getaway, or a quiet corner from where best to explore the Upper Town and the rest of Prague treasures, this is it! Tucked away on a winding and curling street, not too far from a tram stop, yet off the central "tourist path", this b&b is a well-kept secret: spacious rooms, antique-looking but very comfortable furniture, a lovely patio, very picturesque breakfast area under the timbered roof, and friendly staff, fluent in different languages. Price/quality ratio is great! The only improvements I would suggest is to have a shower curtain in the bathroom and to change orange juice supplier - what I had for breakfast did not deserve to be called "orange juice".

Dear client,

Thank you for the time you took to write the review. We are happy to hear that you liked our hotel and services. Moreover, we appreciate your commentaries regarding our services, since we always try to provide our guests with the best. We have already noticed the need of our clients for shower curtain and have planned to install them where needed. With regards to orange juice you had for breakfast, we are very sorry that it did not live up to your expectations. It is 100% orange juice made of Brazilian oranges, which of course cannot be compared to the freshly prepared orange juice, but so far we did not have any complaints over the quality. Nonetheless, if you ever have a chance to repeat your visit, we will do our best to prove you that we are able to fully satisfy expectations of our clients.

Best regards,

hello
we stayed 4 nights (21.03.2012 to 25.04.2012) at the Appia residence!
we had Room 302A and we must say that we really enjoyed our stay. the location of the hotel could not be better. the room was great: big, clean.
the breakfast was just what we need to eat on the morning (maybe the juice was not that good cause not fresh!).
the staff was very kind.
really we made the good choice and will give the address of the Appia residence to our friends.
thanks

Room Tip: We had a big room 302A.
