This is not place for spending night if You are in business trip. They making reservation for families and groups of kids and teenagers, so in the middle of the night You can hear loudly noises from corridor and the stuff do not nothing to deal with it.

You can buy coffee and tea but is very expensive. You have to pay for linen (!)... I think that is the first place where I need to pay for it.

After sb arrive from room, nobody clean the bad... That was pretty awful..

Room Tip: Choose different hotel

I visited Prague in June 2016, in connection with Competing at a Sports Event - Finswimming.
Our Sport's Governing Body made a Block-booking at the A&O Hostel/Hotel Prag Metro Strizkov. That meant that a whole lot of the Competitors also stayed at the Hotel. So it was easy to socialise with my fellow Finswimmers.
I chose to extend my Stay by 1 Day to take advantage of a cheaper Return Flight to the UK.
The Hostel-Hotel is one of a German-owned Chain, most of which are in Germany.
I had previously Stayed at another of their Hostels, In Leipzig (Saxony).
The Accomodation was very Clean, Straightforward and Comfortable.
Ideal if you were spending most of your Time away from the Hostel either attending something or doing the Prague Tourist-trail.
Good for Local transport; 5 Minutes walk to Strizkov Metro Station with a Frequent Service to Prague City Centre , or for Local bus Routes.
Easy to Book-in at the Front Desk, Staff all spoke Good English and Friendly.
Decent Bar at the Lobby, Bar-snacks and selection of Beers , Draught and Bottled. Games Room, Quiet Area and Meeting-Rooms all available. Unlimited Continental Buffet-Breakfast.
Very good Price; I spent 2,100CZK (around £60) for 5 Nights B&B.

Room Tip: I got a quieter room with sole occupancy (it was a 6-Berth Bunks plus 2 x Single Bed Room, en-suite...

It was very noisy at night. I had to ask the kids next to us to be quiet twice. The staff, especially at breakfast was very unfriendly. They were staring at us, following us and screaming for not clearing the table. Would not recommend this hos.

Room was clear and nice but hotel is too noisy! I couldnt sleep because of the noise (doors are heavy and make noise when you close it). Which is bad in hotel. What I liked was location near metro and good services.

We stayed here 3 days for a city trip to Prague. We booked 2 nights with a voucher from Travelbird, and we added a third night when we made the reservation.

The common area's of the hotel (the hallways, the elevator) are really old and beaten up, and not particularly clean. We were really worried for how the room would look, but that wasn't too bad. The room looked like it had been remodeled at some point in the past.

So much for the good news... on to the rest of our experience:

During our stay, our room did not get any service. They never cleaned the room, never made the beds, never changed towels, nothing! In fact, when we just arrived, we even had to go ask for our towels and bed-sheets ('bedding'?) ourselves, because our room did not have these on our arrival.

Breakfast was utter chaos. In the morning there was a big crowd trying to get in the breakfast area; it wasn't even a line; it was a crowd as wide as the hallway, and sometimes it went for 10s of meters long, into the lobby area! We tried going to breakfast at different times (7:00; 7:15; 9:00; 10:00) it was always like that. And then, once you were inside; there wasn't a table free. So you had to search/wait or even hustle to get a table... And when you finally do have a table; you have to try to get in line at the buffet. The line on the buffet was merging with the long line outside. It was a mess!

We eventually gave up on the breakfast buffet, and got breakfast in town.

But: the most serious issue with this hotel is the noise!

Apparently this hotel attracts schools that stay there (presumably for school trips). The result was that there were many large groups of teenagers of about 16 - 20 year old, and at night they gather and socialize outside at the entrance of the hotel, making noise. It's not that they were misbehaving, but they were constantly talking loud, laughing, and calling out to each other. That happened every evening and lasted into very late hours in the morning... It was impossible for us to get sleep because of this.

I don't blame these kids, I think their behavior is normal and to be expected. But I do blame the hotel for not addressing the issue. If the hotel decides to host lots of kids of that age, they should also provide them with a room where they can socialize together in the evening without disturbing other guests.

And that is where this hotel failed big time. They don't address this need and as a result all these kids are hanging out on the street, creating a lot of noise and inconvenience for other guests.

I was debating on giving one or two stars. I ended up giving them 2, but it feels generous...

This hostle was very basic but clean and tied. Ideal if you plan to stay out most days sight seeing.
The breakfast had fruit, cheese, bread, meats, boiled eggs and cereals along with fresh juices and coffee.
All in all was ideal for us as we were only there for 5 days and spent a lot of time out sight seeing and is good value for your money.

Over 600 football playing kids of all ages, and coaches, the food arrangements could be a lot better organized, angry and aggressive females handling the food, juice was water and concentrate, food itself was of above average standard, rooms were in good condition, 4-6 beds and some 2 beds.
The Hostel is placed on the outskirts of Prague, so travel is needed to see the town centre, the neighbourhood is not safe and very rural.

Room Tip: The view from all rooms is not great. No airconditioning in the rooms so open windows are necessary.
