A&O Prag Metro Strizkov
Ranked #171 of 687 Speciality Lodging in Prague
Reviewed 6 October 2017 via mobile

We’ve stayed at 5 or 6 of the A&O hostels as the fit the entire family of six in one room. Breakfasts are perfect for our picky eaters and it has always been a start to a solid day of tourist fun.

This place is no different. Pleasant staff that are real helpful. Nice location and construction. Make no mistake, this is NOT a luxury hotel and not for those wishing to avoid young, energetic travelers. But for families, this is ideal to avoid getting two rooms just to visit Prague.

Strongly recommend.

Just to be clear, this is not one of the luxurious hotels with variety of things to do in it, but for my needs, it was perfect. I am not the type of a person who would spend most of the day in his hotel, so for my three nights stay, I was leaving for the city center in the mornings and coming back around midnights and this hotel provided me everything I needed. The room was very spacious, breakfast was pretty good, whole hotel is covered with wifi connection and you can get really fast to the city center by a metro (it takes 15-20 minutes in total to get from the hotel to Wenceslas square). Also, towels were replaced every day and it was pretty quiet during the nights. I definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Prague for a couple of days, great price and totally worth it.

The hotel is very clean, they clean your room daily. The room is spacious, the bed is confortable. The view is awesome, especially by night. The breakfast is tasty, a great variety of food, coffee, juices. The metro station is really Close. ( the bathroom is really small ).

Stayed here for 3 nights in may. It was pleasant experience, for hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious and bright. Hotel has good wi-fi connection. Bathrooms aren't big, but veeery clean and tidy. Breakfast was incuded, and it was usual buffet breakfast. (great morning coffee :)) Location is not bad, 5-10 min walk to the nearest metro station, and then you'll need approx. 15 min to reach the city centre. Neighborhood is not so representative, view from the room window are buildings, hostels and more buildings... But, it is quiet and safe, which is the most important. Also, there is a supermarket nearby. Staff is friendly, although not so talkative, but helpful. Overall, it was nice experience, and if I ever come back to Prague I would stay here. :)

It's pretty cheap to stay and the hostel is pretty clean. I extended one more night after the first night.

It's probably a little but outside of very central Prague. But u have the day pass train ticket anyways.
I enjoyed the stay!!

Great place to stay. Receptionist were helpful and nice. Less crowded I suspect because it is a bit out of the city center, which we did not mind at all. We (my husband and I) stayed in a 4 bed dorm (with 2 single ordinary beds and 2 bunk beds) but was fortunate to have the room to ourselves which was a luxury especially in the middle of summer.
It is close to a bus station and to a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station.

I stayed in this hotel / Hostel for six days along with family (2+2). Its more like a hostel then a hotel. Not recommended for families. Housekeeping was not carried out every time we have to ask them to carryout house keeping. There is one main lift which remained out of order for two days out of our six days stay. Breakfast was ok. Overall an average stay.
