Very much enjoyed a seven night stay in this very spacious and well equipped apartment in Gdansk. The location is excellent, right on the riverside which is packed with great restaurants and a short stroll into the centre of the old town with yet more great places to eat. Train station is around 10 minutes walk where you can easily get down to Sopot (and don't forget Gydnia) for lovely Baltic beaches and forest walks.
The location is very good - it is right on the river and very close to the old town - you can walk to everything from the apartment. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The apartment is in a very old building - it is the old merchant's gate into the town - so the only view of the river is through a kitchen and bedroom window. Be very careful about the double bedroom - the bed is a mattress on top of a platform in the bedroom as it is literally on top of the old arch gate. But they were extremely steep wobbly stairs to get up to the bed and there is not enough height for you to stand up when you are up there. There are no photos of the double bedroom - maybe for a good reason. If you have any mobility problems it will be a real problem. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but a couple of basics are missing eg egg flip, grater. The other issue we had was the hot water in the bathroom. There is an instantaneous gas water heater but we often just ran out of hot water or it turned off so we only got cold water which did become really annoying. Again, we would stay here again for the location and value, but just be aware of what you are getting.
