Owner description: Serving as a royal residence and the site where the country's rulers governed Poland for five centuries (1038-1596), this castle is a symbol of the independent Polish state and today contains a priceless collection of 16th-century Flemish tapestries, considered to be one of the largest in the world.

Beautiful area on a large hill. Walked around the area for quite some time enjoying the views and the ambience. Lots of people strolling around. Did not go inside the castle. There was a refreshment area there to buy coffees and snacks.

Thank dehnaz

It was a crisp sunny day so weather was lovely, beautiful views of Krakow...the church here is absolutely stunning! This place was very busy even though it was early March...I imagine it could get manic busy in peak times. There's a nice coffee on site. Worth a visit.

Situated close to the centre within walking distance . The castle and cathedral were located on this site . The architecture was stunning and the cathedral was very serene . The cathedral was beautiful inside . Constant visitors coming and to from the castle . It was brilliant.

Krakow is a pearl of the European Middle Ages. A meeting point of Italian Art, northern Europe Culture and Russian pragmatism.
The Wawel Castle, even if impoverished by the barbarism of wars is wonderful with the Royal Apartments and the amazing cathedral.
Don't lose the opportunity to visit the castle and the old city rich in any corner of astonishing surprises.
