Review of Parafia Wang

We visited this exceptional temple in July, 2017. It is small inside, but many people can go there. It has a nice location and is worth visiting.

This 12/13th century wooden church is amazing to visit. Its story and structure are extraordinary and a must see when you are in Karpacz. There is also an old graveyard to visit and as the church is situated high up in the mountains the view is stunning. Many mountaintrails pass by this church so from here you can go for a futher hike in the mountains or rest a little in the smaller restaurants below. The entranceprice is a bit overestimated for what you get. When you speak English or German you get an A4paper with some notes about the church. The Polishspeaking tourists get an explanation from 15 minutes. There is no reallife guide, just a tape played and no possibility to learn more about the church or ask questions. Great place to see, but conmercial and not very welcoming.

The church it self is nice , when you walk around you can feel the history.
The views are fantastic.
You pay to go in side but free to walk round.
It is a good start point to walk up the mountain from here it took us just under 4 hrs ( lot of pictures where taken ) , in Poland you pay to enter the park .

it's a small, one hour starting point at the beginning of any trip to Karkonosze.
The church is unique and worth visiting.
you'll get a little story if you pay a ticket to get inside (in Polish).

Although not very big, this place is really worth visiting. This is amazing, that in Polish mountain spa resort one can find a 1000 years old wooden Norvegian church. Marvellous sculpted details would satisfy every history lover, especially enthusiast of Vikings. The church is built without nails, only wood and stone. Inside you can hear the history of the church (but only in Polish) and walk around, see the details of sculpted portals. Visiting the church lasts some 20 minutes, to take photos inside you have to pay extra, the guide lets inside limited number of visitors, so people are not stomping on each other, but sometimes you have to wait to get in. Waiting Is not as bad as you can walk around the church, see the tombs on the graveyard (including the grave of famous Polish poet Tadeusz Różewicz). Of course the church hill is surrounded by dozens of "local fast food" and "souvenir" but you can avoid them by taking upper (longer) route (still quite short - some 8 mins of easy walk)

Certainly this place is not as famous as Rosslyn Chapel, but as much worth seeing.
