I'd stayed here before so knew what I was getting but wasn't impressed that the hotel was advertising a room price outside on the street substantially lower than appied to my reservation -- less than the half-price.
The only explanation I can think of is that when I booked a month or so before then there mus have been some expo or trade fair on for which they ramped up their prices but then dropped them at the last minute. I guess I could have argued for a reduction (and may still do so with Accor) but the price on my reservation was what I was charged.
I had picked the hotel almost exclusively for its location -- while not close to the Old Town or Centrum it's not far from either by tram and relatively convenient for the central station.
Staff are perfectly pleasant but the rooms are quite small and details like the thickness of the towels (they're almost as thin as sandpaper and feel like they're doing the same sort of job) make you wonder if Ibis/Accor are trying to push people into other Warsaw hotels. The Reduta, a couple of kilometres south, is much better and cheaper.
That said, I do like the bar, and found the burgers perfectly acceptable in the restaurant.More
