“Nice hotel great breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2012

Very nice rooms and a terrific breakfast. The breakfast had top quality food and lots of choices.
The hotel is well located near the central station and on the tran and bus lines. Bus 175 takes you to the old town by way of a lively and interesting Nowy street.

The big downfall is the stupid internet. The pay version is outrageous and the free version in the lobby is difficult with upper and lower case names and passwords and even then only good for 1 hour and you have to start again. Met lots of people in the elevator complaining about this. If it important choose another hotel.

This is a very nice hotel right in the city centre. You are in the perfect location if you want to do some shopping and have a good view of Warsaw from the museum in front of the hotel. Also you are minutes to all regular amenities that you would want in a big city. If you travel by train/bus that the best location too. I was in the street side of the hotel, the traffic was a bit noisy but worth it for the view in the evening when everything is lighted. The breakfast is very nice and you would get everything you need there to start the day. The staff is nice too. There is free internet but not in the room, that was not ideal but not a show stopper. You can walk from there for some historical locations or museum but not for everyone. I would suggest the tramway or bus instead. I would stay there again if needed. Ah, before I forget I had a free upgrade when I arrived. I booked online on the site and payed in advance with a rebate, I think it was 15% but not refundable. The upgraded room was very nice with bathrobe and little chocolates !

I spent 2 nights in this hotel during my recent visit to Warsaw and really enjoyed it. It is a grand historic old building that has been beautifully restored and furnished. The reception area is magnificent - all marble and plants and a big atrium beautifully maintained. The staff were very friendly, most helpful and welcoming. Both at check in and check out the staff made me feel at home and most welcome.
The room I had was on the 2nd floor and was large, and had everything I needed including a tv with good selection of stations, nice bathroom with full sized bath, loads of lights and a fridge/minibar. There was also a free bottle of mineral water for guests. The room was very quiet at night with no noise leaking in from anywhere.
The breakfast on both mornings was fantastic - and included a very wide range of hot food (including lovely hot potato cakes and chicken wings). And everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean and well looked after. The staff also all spoke perfect english and were most helpful.
There were 2 free internet terminals in the lobby area, and also a desk with lots of brochures and maps to help you plan what to do and see in Warsaw.
The location is great - just opposite the Palace of Culture building, and on the route of bus 175 which goes to and from the airport. Centrum Metro station and Warsaw Central train Station are also a short distance away. There are loads of shops and things within a short distance of the hotel. The Old town is about a 30 minute stroll from the hotel.
Everything about this hotel was just perfect. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Warsaw. I 100% recommend it, and I hope to return and stay there again some day.

Wanted a luxury weekend away so chose this hotel as it was a good price. I am a bargain hunter of 4*&5* hotels.I like the best!! & try to avoid run of the mill "same type" hotels. I didnt know at the time of booking however, how luxurious this hotel was.Our room overlooked the front main road however you couldnt hear any noise from outside. Larger than average rooms for a city hotel, light and well furnished.Huge bathroom with a large square bath tub big enough for 2.Bath robes & slippers provided.Tea & coffee facilities in the room. Mini bar sat TV.
Room was spotless. The hotel was very grand indeed & lived up to its name. The pool is in the basement & has marble colums. We went early evening & had the pool to ourselves. The gym room is also well equiped. There was a choice of dining. We only ate there for 1 evening & tried a formal dinner This was a very grand heigh ceiling room with murals on the walls & waiters in white gloves!! We tried truffles for the first time, so as you can imagine it was very expensive, but something we wanted to try just once. The main receprion & bar are also of a grand design. see pictures. The hotel is a good location,on a main route to all the tourist attractions, the palace & square with the Jewish museum is only a short distance away! If you are looking to impress someone with a nice weekend away you won't go wrong with this hotel. The staff were friendly & polite.

Room Tip: quiet rooms dont think you will get a bad room here!

Every person in the hotel wants you to have a nice stay - and it is right in the center of town.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are great, and a lot of the others also have windows in different directions
