The property was astounding, and Eniko and her husband went out of their way to provide us with everything we needed -- down to a recommended taxi service with a discount! We had them make a traditional Hungarian dinner (for 14) and it was absolutely wonderful and reasonably priced. The only negative thing was that the previous renters had broken the sliding glass door between the pool and the lawn, so we had to go out through the garage.
We were a group of 10 in Budapest to compete in a curling tournament, and when we arrived, the rest of the team instantly regretted that we were only going to be there for three nights.
Although it seems like the property is off the beaten path (and it is), it is a short (2 block) walk to a bus that will take you do central Buda or a tram stop at the bottom of the hill that will put you into the transit network. 20-40 minutes (depending on the time of day) and you're in the middle of the tourist areas. The tram is also a 5-minute walk downhill.
One further recommendation -- if you have Eniko prepare breakfast for you, plan on it being enough food for two meals.
I would return here in a second, and hope to do so soon.More
