From the moment we entered the hotel, we found everyone very efficient and friendly. We have never checked in and received our room key so quickly. As we opened our door the view that greeted us out of the window really had a "Wow" factor - the Danube, Parliament, St Stephen's Basilica and Szechenyi Bridge. We didn't think it could get any better, but, when all the lights went on in the city, it did. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is on the quieter Buda side with only a short walk over to Pest. A good breakfast, served by pleasant staff, was included in the price we paid. The hotel was great value for money and we couldn't fault it. We travel widely and have never written a review before, Abut this hotel is definitely worth writing home about!

Just spent four nights here over Easter. Hotel in a good location, across the river from Parliament. Stunning views over river. Had a balcony room. Unfortunately, it was quite cold, but great to step out and look around.

Easy access to public transportation. 15-20 minute walk over Chain bridge into Pest. Easy to do.

Lots of good bars and restaurants nearby as well. Breakfast was good, though not much change day-to-day.

Would definetly stay again.

Room Tip: Higher floors. Ask for balcony room (only 2 of them).

The photos do not do it justice. Superb hotel in a stunning location opposite the parliament building. Convenient transport nearby.
Minor criticism is takes 20 mins walk to get to other side of river but this is offset by superb river views that you would pay double for in other hotels.

Room Tip: All rooms face the front so have good views

A really good find and very resonable. Very clean and very helpful staff. The view over the Danube is magnificent couldn't be in a better position. Turn left out the hotel and cross the road and on the corner with a pirate statue standing outside is a great bar/restaurant. Excellent value and masssive portions.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this very comfortable friendly hotel on the banks of the Danube. Can only agree with previous reports, the views from the rooms are amazing, the staff very welcoming and friendly, breakfast is good with eggs cooked to order, breakfast room is small but staff very quickly clear tables and waiting time is usually short. Happy hour is an added bonus. All public transport is reached within minutes, tram stop is literally outside front door. Our room was on 6th floor and going to bed with the Parliament building all lit up on the left side and the Chain Bridge on the right is really magical. Plenty of restaurants within easy reach. Would not hesitate to recommend and if in Budapest in the future would not stay anywhere else. Loved every minute of our city break. Can recommend tours of both Parliament building and the Opera House, both magnificent buildings. Spend a day in the Castle area plenty to see, but at the moment Matayas Church is under renovation and although you can go in most of it is covered in sheeting but worth a visit. The House of Terror is very thought
provoking and quite sombre but gives good historical perspective.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as high as possible in the hotel for the best view

A lovely hotel, in a perfect location run by very friendly people. Hotel rooms are modern and clean and offer some of the best views in Budapest. Hotel provides an excellent breakfast and there are many good restaurants in the surrounding district for eating out at night.
Budapest is a lovely place for a short break and the Hotel Victoria an excellent base for the holiday.
