I would love to give this hotel 5 stars but we had problems with noise from the heating system in the room and we were unable to cool the room down as it was unbearably hot and the noise from the pipes started each morning at 6.00am. On check out the management apologised and offered a transfer to the airport which was nice but having to endure 3 nights in a hot noisy room was just unacceptable and we did notify reception of the problems after our first day and they assured us it was being dealt with.

Heating and noise aside the room was lovely with a nice view and all members of staff were very professional and the service was suberb. We had breakfast each morning which was excellent quality, the food was fresh and always topped up, service, once again, was outstanding.

If I came back to Budapest I would definitely consider this hotel assuming the heating system is rectified.

This hotel is ideally located for visiting Budapest. Close to bus stops, metro and hop on hop off tour bus stop. Also within walking distance of many tourist locations.
The staff were efficient but not overfriendly. We had a Superior Double Room on the 3rd floor. The room was comfortable but the double bed consisted of two singles pushed together.
I would recommend asking for a higher floor overlooking Elizabeth Square. The room numbers would be in the range *10 - *24 (even numbers) ie 3rd floor 310 - 324. Other rooms have very little outlook.
Breakfast was very busy and we had to wait, albeit only a few minutes, each morning to get a table. A good selection of food is available and eggs freshly cooked to order.
The pool is very small.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking Elizabeth Square

Had a fab trip to Budpest, were upgraded in the hotel which was a lovely suprise. The breakfast was lovely and the room very comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel were very helpful. The location was good and if we return to Budapest we would stay here again. Booked through a discount website and breakfast was included so was excellent value for us.

stayed 3 nights for city break was fantastic. Streight in the city centre. Just walking distance everywhere. The best breakfast we ever had in hotel. The staff are great and helpful. Very clean and nice bathroom.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new part.

This hotel is metioned in the Leading Hotels Of the World guide.
Very clean hotel well motivated trained staff Eg the receptionist helpfully enquired on check out if I had emptied my room safe.
Nice quiet little pool which has a current you can swim against if you want. I don't recall pools at Hilton Marriott or Sofitel in Budapest so it's an advantage
A large steam and sauna area which look well kept and virtually as new.
The downside for me was the type of bars in the hotel. Fortunately there were plenty of good places to eat and drink near the hotel which is well located for Vaci street. Overall I would choose this hotel over the others I have previously stated in (mentioned above)

Stayed 2 nights for business purposes. Great hotel, first time for me on the Kempinski brand. Very similar in many ways to Le Meridien, Intercon and Hyatt.

Super, spacious rooms. Good breakfast, not included in most prices. Free wifi, but expensive fixed Internet. And very, very expensive to use the phone. 2 Euro per minut to Norway should give them a healthy margin :-)

All I can say Is fantastic ! This hotel is great, the rooms are large and have everything you could wish for in a room except tea and coffee which is it's only down fall. The staff are great and very helpful. The lounge area is lovely and always very clean, there are daily papers for you to read some of which is in English.

The breakfast is wow! You can have anything you wish with a chief making anything from eggs that your heart desires . You are severed champagne with your breakfast of which you can have as many glasses as you wish. Bucks fizz ect all included.

Would stay here again in a heart beat! Loved it!

Room Tip: Upgrade gets you a bigger room but all the same things in the rooms.

Dear valued Guest,

It was a pleasure to learn from your comments on TA that you had a "fantastic" stay at our hotel with our award winning Corvinus Buffet Breakfast at the highlight. We apologize however for the inconveniences because of the missing quality tea/coffee making facilities; we will have a look into the issue and at the same time would like to offer you our complimentary morning beverage service which you may simply order with your wake-up call. We hope to welcome you back soon at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.

Yours sincerely, the Kempinski Hotel Budapest Team
