This is just a section of a much bigger and historical area of Buda. Definitely recommend getting a guide to explain its significance. It's a gorgeous location that overlooks the Danube. Great spot for taking cute pictures. It's a very popular spot so be prepared for moderate to heavy crowds.

Great historical site of Budapest with amazing panoramic views. The entry price for the Bastion only is 1500 Forint. Can be a bit crowded I guess but it is totally worth it. After enjoying the view and taking some pictures, walk around the Castle Hill and explore the different sights and check out the view on the other side of the hill. Must do.

It is a site beyond others you will see in Budapest. Being paired with Mathias Dom, the place evokes Florence crossed with Narnia. The view from the heights is uncompromising. Truly our favorite spot. Again my teenage (hard to play at this age) was stunned. And walked around for an hour just absorbing the the splendor of this magnificent place

My wife and I visited Budapest in Mar/Apr 2018. The Fisherman's Bastion was a great experience for us. The views over the Danube and of the Hungarian Houses of Parliament were fabulous. We particulary enjoyed having lunch in the coffee shop/restaurant within the Bastion walls, which overlooked the Danube. Highly recommended....

This is a must visit on a Budapest trip, you can walk up to it from the castle and you'll find lots of people taking pictures of the view. Make sure to turn around and look up though as the roof of the building is stunning and we so nearly missed it by following the tourists pictures.
