In Tulip House hotel, you can enjoy the beauty of old building and the luxury of spacious appartments at the same time. I was amazed with very professional, yet friendly aproach of the whole team I met. Rooms are suprisingly spacious, clean and modern, but very nice and comfortable. Great location, parking facilities (for free), perfect restaurant, well equipped fitness center, the offer of delicious sweets make this hotel unforgetable place that will overcome your expectation. Internet access is for free. But what I appreciate the most was the overal atmosphere of this hotel. I would love to stay in this hotel anytime beeing in Bratislava.

I am absolutely amazed. I loved this place so much.
My husband and I have visited many places around the globe but I must say - unexpectably - The Tulip House was one of the greatest. The room, the stuff, location... absolutely amazing. We even tried Tulip's restaurant and we were really impressed. Cant wait to come back as we definitely are!!!

We chose to stay at the Tulip House partly on the strength of the very positive recommendations on Trip Advisor, and we were certainly not disappointed. The hotel's street is not particularly glamorous - Bratislava has some problems with rubbish and graffiti - but, having said that, its location is very convenient, being an easy walk either to the old town with its fabulous wedding cake buildings and ornate churches, and to the new commercial centre, with a wide range of shops and smart restaurants, bars and cafes.

Tulip House is a beautiful art deco building, meticulously restored with fabulous attention to detail and a very high finish to the guest rooms and public areas. Our suite was large, spotless and very well equipped. When a problem occurred with the room (identified by the staff, not us) and we had to move, we were given a still more palatial one, and a bottle of wine for the inconvenience of having to move upstairs to even greater luxury.

Often, the term 'boutique hotel' is shorthand for glorified guest house with not much in the way of furniture, but this is absolutely not the case with Tulip House. As well as the restaurant (fab food) and cafe bar, there is a welcoming lobby and an additional atrium lounge, all beautifully appointed and giving an air of space and comfort.

What really makes Tulip House special, though, is the warm and welcoming attitude of the staff. Magdalena has drilled her team to treat visitors as guests, rather than clients, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even before we arrived, emails were answered swiftly and efficiently, early check-in was arranged, concert tickets booked. Reception is conducted while sitting in comfy armchairs, rather than leaning, travel weary, against the desk.

Breakfast is not particularly cheap, but it offers a sumptuous spread, with freshly-made coffee and hot dishes included, and we thought it was well worth the cost. You won't need much lunch (which is not to say you won't be tempted). The food served in the Rhapsody Restaurant is upscale, well-presented and offers handsome portions. The surroundings are just lovely, and the service prompt and friendly.

I find it very hard to fault Tulip House, and, believe me, I am not known for my forgiving attitude to slack service and below-par housekeeping. Many thanks to Magdalena and all her staff for giving us a holiday to remember.

Room Tip: All lovely. Balcony rooms face the street rather than the service courtyard. If you have any special...

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we felt the friendly but nevertheless professional atmosphere which surrounds this hotel. The hotel is very closely situated to the main shopping street and old town, which Has proven to be a fantastic location when doing our tour of Bratislava. The building itself has been beautifully restored and shows features of the art nouveau, with today's modern comfort. The food was excellent; we tried both the restaurant for breakfast and the food from the bar. We had a fantastic relaxing time with the amazing food and the delicious Slovakian wine. The staff are very helpful, and they bring this place even more alive with their smile, helpfulness and attention to the slightest detail. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a fantastic time in the Tulip Hotel, we are looking forward to return!

My husband and I have just returned from the Tulip House and cannot wait to go back!

The hotel is centrally located in this beautiful city. The building is an attractive, newly renovated, imposing old building. The rooms - or rather suites - are enormous with splendid facilities and lovely decor. The bathroom was spacious and very well appointed. We had a de-luxe suite, which included a very useful kitchenette (with complimentary coffee, teas, milk etc), a sitting area and a large bedroom with king size bed and lovely linen.

The hotel has a cafe (Tulip) and a restaurant (Rhapsody), both of which were excellent. The cafe has a delightful and welcoming open fire and offers a range of food and scrumptious desserts and cakes. It is well used by locals as well as hotel residents and has a very warm atmosphere. The restaurant is where the breakfasts are served and these are superb. The range of buffet items is wide and is complmented by hot dishes, e.g. eggs Benedict, Florentine etc beautifully cooked to order. The juices and fruits are fresh and champagne is included. The oatmeal porridge with honey and fruit was ideal for us during the recent arctic cold weather! We also had dinner in the Rhapsody, which was excellent - wide choice of deliciously cooked dishes and some excellent Slovak (as well as a range of other) wines.

The really outstanding feature of this hotel is, however, the staff. From our first contact by email with the reception through to our sad departure we experienced nothing other than welcoming, courteous, professional staff, who all went well beyond the any expectations to help us and make our stay perfect. We had some problems with our opera tickets - purchased diectly from the box office. The hotel reception staff sorted it all out, even organising one of the bellboys to walk across town to the box office to save us having to do it ourselves. The service throughout the hotel in all aspects and departments was nothing short of truly remarkable - better than any we have previously experienced and we are very well-travelled oldies!!

The impeccable nature of this hotel reflects the delight of Bratislava itself. It is a beautifully preserved small capital city, which offers lovely piazzas, streets and avenues along the Danube. It boasts splendid concert halls and the opera house and company are world-class. In short, both the city and the hotel are hidden gems, which we cannot wait to re-visit. Do go there and do make this hotel your first choice.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and very well-appointed.

My wife and me decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Bratislava. Our choice of stay fell on Tulip House Hotel. And what a place it ended up being! Staff was professional and pleasant. Hotel a gem, not to mention the Art Nouveau details. The rooms were the finest we have yet been fortunate to experience. In lack of superlatives we can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to make their trip, celebration, anniversary aso. that little (yet worthwhile) notch more memorable. We ended up booking the romantic package option they offered on their homepage. The price might present itself as a bit steep, but we can only say that this was quickly forgotten upon and after arrival. For us it was the perfect hotel, located in one of the coziest cities of Europe, providing us a marvelous and unforgettable anniversary. And as a last comment in an attempt to locate the "Pièce de résistance" of the place, we must say that the breakfast buffet was simply superb.

Room Tip: It is of no matter which room befalls the guest, as they must all be marvelous.

You must stay here if you are visiting Bratislava! It's located in the pedestrianised old centre of Bratislava so makes it interesting for siteseeing etc. The Hotel is wonderful, infact superb the rooms are super spacious, the decor is delightful & reminiscent of the Art Nouveau period of when the building was constructed. The staff are helpful & friendly & the inhouse 'Rhapsody Restuarant' is first class!
