We visited this restaurant for rainy day lunch. The restaurant was very cozy with it's industrial dock inspired design. I think we found best burgers in Klaipėda: real brioche, tasty and juicy chicken breast, interesting vegetables choices inside, home baked potatoes slices and lemonade make perfect combination. The Art of gourmet burgers in the Klaipėda riverside served by friendly staff:)

In the rather pale old town of Klaipeda you will for sure notice this restaurant. The panoramic windows reveal the industrial design and the boys and girls behind the bar and in the open kitchen lure you in with they'r "cool dude" attitude (in the first two hours of the shift).
Though the seating in front of the bar is slightly stuffy, you will notice no kitchen smells and will get a rather quick attention from the staff. The menu consists from burger, steak, some salads and sides. If you'll go to "Dock" for three of four times you will have probably tried all the dishes from menu.
In the beginning Your eye will be definitely drawn by some unusual appetisers. Like for example fried pickled cucumbers. What a great idea! Though be patient, cause taking away the pounds of sliced leeks will take you some time and effort! You will have to season the cucumbers accordingly and avoid the offered sauce, which lacks taste and resembles a fat free, taste free, natural yoghurt. There will be also the fried chicken bites. You will find the breading of the meat being good, the sesame seeds - interesting and the seasoning - absent.
If You've ever had a decent steak - the "Dock" 's take on interpreting the doneness, the cuts, the sides, the sauces is rather rural Lithuanian. A potpourri of vegetables, sunk in a not very well executed balsamic vinegar reduction, and a medium (more done) steak, again with no seasoning at all, instead of the ordered medium rear will be accomplished by the comment - that's how we do it!
You will find the burgers being quite decent sized. The sweet buns are modern in todays burger kitchen, although tricky. Sub-optimal preparation of the burger patty, not well dried salad leaves, watery sauces etc. will lead to excess fluid formation and decompose the tasty, though not that firm bun just after the eater reaches the second half of the burger. You should not expect to be asked how well you would like your meet to be done - there is only one way how "Dock" is doing it. The sauces are ok, although there is a tendency to overdoing it. The sides, like the potato chips, are being fried with a lack of attention. Slightly blackish, slightly fat-ish seems to be style de cuisine.
From more then four times in "Dock" I have gained the impression, that the customers are being educated on "good" food, rather then the management (owner?) listening, taking note and might be changing some things. Don't try commenting on your food - rolling eyes, dumping plates and a lesson on how it should be will come at once. The chefs lack basic culinary skills, although are trying to play at the top 5%. The attention is drown rather to the instagram'y look of the dish, then to the correct preparation.
All this makes the food and the dining experience not simple (in a way You would say about simply good food), just simpler (rather disappointing)...

Very nice bar/restaurant concept. Big meniu for beers and burgers. If you are looking for steak or ribs - you should ask for waiter (or check blackboard on the wall).

I saw a new restaurant pop up a couple of months ago and finally decided to head there after hearing about their amazing burgers and craft beer. First of all, the interior is very drawing: modern, but cozy and comfortable. This part of the old town is known for it's quite atmosphere, so it felt super relaxing sitting outside. Second, the waiter was amazing and super interactive. And most important of all, the menu is filled with spectacular sounding dishes, mostly burgers, and of course - craft beer. My friends enjoyed blueberry beer, while I had a homemade lemonade. The vegetarian burger was delicious. It had a smoky taste and made was with love. Definitely coming back here for cocktails and burgers, of course!

We've just popped in to have a drink. And were positively surprised how comfortable and nice place it is. Those, who like craft beer, will enjoy the selection of aipa, ale, etc. Those, who want non-alco, will adore home-made limonade. Those, who are curious, will wonder how professionally burgers are being made by the skilled staff just in front of you. Definitely will visit The Dock once again.
