I spent a week here back in spring (when it was still snowing in Vilnius) on a work trip. I would certainly come back for a leisure trip and bring my family - it is a very charming place. The main attraction (especially if you are travelling alone) is the first floor lounge / bar / restaurant / breakfast room. It's a stylish but old-world space which feels like a private London club, where you can enjoy a 3 course meal (with excellent dishes like duck & saffron soup) or just sit with a book and a small glass of one of the dozens of cognac they stock. Breakfast is a la carte, not buffet, and full of lovely dishes efficiently brought out.
My room was spacious and characterful. One possible drawback is that a lot of the rooms are on the ground floor, with large windows looking straight out onto the pavement - although the street is a quiet one, it does mean there are parked cars right outside your window, and that you have to keep curtains drawn for any privacy. But a relatively minor inconvenience, given the special character of this place and the extremely helpful staff.More
