Very friendly staff always ready to assist you and to guide you. They make you feel comfortable without any troubles or worries. Breakfast was very nice and the waiters extremely polite and service oriented. The rooms were clean and well equipped. I would recommend this hotel

This is a very charming hotel in an ideal location. It has charmingly decorated rooms with a literary theme. Each room is named after a different author and reflects something about the time when he/she lived. They are lovely, comfortable and well apppointed. The dining area, where a la carte breakfast is served, is beautiful and the dining room where one can obtain a very good dinner is elegant. The breakfast is great with many choices made to order. The location of the hotel, in the old city, is perfect. It is on a quiet street steps away from the central street in the old town. It is walking distance to just about everywhere. It is also only a few minute taxi ride from the bus station where buses arrive/depart to the airport and other destinations. If you prefer to walk to the station, it is about 25 minutes. The staff is somewhat formal but very helpful. We loved being in this hotel.

Very good breakfast and attentive service from the staff. Disappointed with the room (Oscar Wilde), which was not quite as we expected. It was long and narrow with sloping ceiling and unusable space. Nice bathroom and excellent location. The view ofSt Annes Church from the bedroom window was a delight. The dining rooms and terrace were pretty.

The shakespeare Hotel doesn't differ from it's location but because it is unconventionel in some details. The rooms aren't numbered but have names of former person of history, mine was Lord Byron another one was winston churchill, etc.

The inside is in a design matching art and poetry, but definitly not in modern style.

Staff friendly and helpful.

The food and drinks are fair in price. but one may be have to get used to order it's breakfast. There is no buffet.

To find the Shakespeare it is recommanded to enter from the side where the cahdreal is located raither to follow the navigation system, which may you travel through the small side roads.
Also the entry to the hotel parking is to take carefully to avoid scretches on the car.

But since it is located in the center of the old town, one may not use the car.
The price for 4 nights was more the fair.

Shakespeare has a very strong reputation as a boutique hotel in Vilnius. Also, they offer probably the best breakfast in the city - even as a restaurant if you are not a hotel guest. Cozy, old-fashioned design and hearty food. When the weather is nice (Lithuania can be cold most of the year) there is terrace seating over a quiet old city street. Try the Lithuanian style eggs served in the pan. Each room is named after a different author and the design is quirky and literary. The location is central and nestled in a quiet old city location, surrounded by small eateries and restaurants. Keep in mind rooms will be small. The value comes from the atmosphere, friendly staff, and restaurant rather than room size. More for tourists and less a business friendly hotel.

Room tip: Rooms are small, so ask to check first. Ask for room away from the street.
