“Pretty mediaeval”
Reviewed 24 March 2012

A beautifully proportioned mediaeval square where nothing detracts from the historic look and feel. Some restaurants have dressed-up people outside trying to get you to come in. These are generally NOT the good restaurants.

“Tallin Old Square”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

Similar to Prague but older, more sense of being medieval, sat out in coffee shops with sheepskin rugs on chairs.

“Full of tourists”
Reviewed 4 March 2012

That is really what it is. Sometimes it is nice, but you cannot visit it too often. Also the restaurants are real tourist traps, so you find much better value elsewhere.

“Empty and atmospheric in winter”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

Just don't eat or drink in any of the restaurants! Just yards away there are cheaper and better choices.

“Wow!”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

This place sums up why Tallinn is a Unesco World Heritage city. One of the most beautiful squares in Europe. A reason in itself to visit Estonia
