Great midrange/budget hotel close to city centre. Charming rooms in the basement. Newly renovated and nice, with a dungeon feeling :-) 24 hours lobbyservice, and a tasty breakfast. The receptionist wasn't the best in english language, but tried hard to learn and was very charming and polite. Would definitively concidered staying there again.

The receptionist claimed that in order to checkout before 12pm, you have to pay a €20 fee. I've heard of payment for late checkout, but never for checking out in the morning. I just walked away without paying. Watch out for this scam.

Very interesting old building, variety of room shapes and sizes. Not suitable to people who do not love doing stairs. Full carpeting in stairs adds dusty feeling. Mattresses soft and wobbly, top mattresses keep sliding off and pillows are lumpy. Stamp sized tv is quite funny. Staff could not care less even if they tried - answering a greeting with a blank stare... Still, the room itself was quite quirky in a good way and the location was very good. Good standard breakfast with watered juice. Question of preferences, I would say?

Room Tip: Stay away from the windowless basement rooms.

The location of the hotel is great in the old centre but on a quit location. The rooms are fine, nothing special but good for a quit night of good sleep. There are actually some rooms located at strange places. For example ‘inside’ the breakfast room or directly connected to the stairs. Maybe you can have some noice from others here. The breakfast is ok, nothing fancy but there is taken well care of it. Good hotel for a citytrip to Tallinn.

Stayed here for 3 nights when in Tallinn over Independence weekend. Beautiful old building dating back to the 14th century (or so we were told). Décor is very old and a little worn, but that was part of the charm for us. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts, so bear that in mind and request a lower floor if you have mobility issues/don't enjoy lugging cases up 3 flights of creaky old stairs.

The room itself was small and bizarrely laid out, but was perfectly adequate. The beds (standard European twins pushed together for a makeshift double) were incredibly comfy and soft.

Breakfast was plentiful, if a little bland. Served 8-11, which was handy. The staff were largely polite but completely disinterested, as seems the norm in Tallinn. Location was marvellous: 2 mins walk from the main square.
