Keeps what it promises. The breakfast is superb! Absolutely the best in town. Rooms are spacious at least in the new side. The terrrace is the best in Tallin. Very good lunch! And staff with professional skills.

This hotel needs to be updated and is definitely in needs of renovation. It used to be a grand dame but hasn't keep up with the other boutique hotels in the area. When you talk to locals they love it but you get the feeling that they haven't actually stayed at the hotel. The restaurant is very good. I would suggest you stop in for dinner or lunch but stay at another hotel. Old rooms in poor condition.

We booked an upgraded room, but even so, on the top floor, with the eaves in the way, it seemed small. I liked the dark colours and it felt sumptuous, but a tad too small. The service on arrival at the front desk was perfect, and very friendly. The public space is nice, a small bar and a winding staircase set off the style. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and bustling with activity.

The location is top. The rooms are in a very dark russian style decorated, but the beds are comfortable and everything is clean.
The breakfast is good.
The big problem is the lack of motivation and unfriendliness from the service staff.
There is no greeting to the guests. The breakfast is not ready at 07:10, they are still preparing the buffett. The answering is only what is asked and nothing more, no additional informations or hints, no caring for the guest. No one ever smiles or talks in a warm and friendly voice. It is like in communist times.
This are small problems, but together it does not give the guest the impression, that the staff is caring about him. Please improve it!
Then it will be fantastic!

The hotel was recommended by a local colleague and we were very pleased with the decision to stay there. Location is perfect and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the inclusive breakfast. I would definitely recommend reserving any spa treatments in advance as they were fully booked (understandably) when I arrived.
