Fantastic stay, hotel was brill, lovely old fashioned feel. Very welcoming reception always greeted with a smile. Breakfast had a good choice great way to start the day. Great location in centre but not noisy easy to travel around on buses trains and trams. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Located in the heart of old Riga town, aside of the cathedral, lies this very charming hotel.
You feel welcomed by the flower scent when you enter and check in, welcomed by smiley very courteous and professional staff.
The building has been magnificently kept in the 17th-18th century architecture, in the rooms you can find old wooden pillars, with a stylish furnishing, yet very comfortable.
Breakfast will satisfy any choice, located in another stylish cellar wide room.
Flawless wifi, despite the thick walls.
The hotel is ideally suitable for a business stay or for family looking for a centrally located excursion point.
Anytime soon again. Thanks!

Three nights in Riga exploring our family history. Gutenberg’s was a great central location, right in the centre of ‘old town’.
Hotel was clean and comfortable but be sure to ask for a room in the ‘old’ section in the hotel because the other rooms were quite small. Staff all had great English and were very helpful indeed. Would highly recommend

I travel to Latvia annually for personal and business reasons. This May I chose the Gutenbergs so I could be in old town Riga, a convenient place to meet friends. I typically stay at a hotel outside of the city where I can drive up and park. While I like the location, service and atmosphere of the Gutenbergs it turned out to be very inconvenient if you have a car. Probably great if you arrive by Taxi. Getting into old town by car is very challenging - many restrictions. I arrived late on a Sunday night and followed the directions given to me by the hotel only to find out one of the major roads was closed by the police and they would not let me through. So I ended up in a parking lot about 8 blocks away pulling my suitcase and carryon through cobblestone streets. Similar problems when it came to check out. As for the hotel - breakfast is very nice. It is intentionally furnished with old style furniture which is okay but missing some of the modern conveniences. Next trip I'll try elsewhere.
