This was a former village grocer store and has kept many original features of it, for example, the breakfast room is still laid out as the store would have been many years ago.
The hotel is small centrally located with approx 8 rooms and provides only bed and breakfast which was continental in style (fresh orange juice to die for). Note there is no lift but the hotel was modernised and well maintained. Rooms were spacious and clean and in our room one of the balconies overlooked the church and the river beyond.
The proprietor was friendly and helpful and would certainly stay again.

A lovely family run guest house in the pedestrian precinct of a really pretty small town. Very comfortable, and the owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. Great value for money. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

This beautiful old hotel is the centre of the lovely, historic town of Ponte de
Lima. We had a room on the first floor looking out onto the square below, the river Lima beyond and the church with its bell tower next door. The room is well furnished and very clean, with comfortable beds and the sun streaming in through the balcony window. The en-suite bathroom is generous in size with a great shower. Breakfast is included in the price and is very nice, especially the coffee.

Room tip: First floor with balcony and view.

Charming little B&B with the sweetest hosts you could possibly want. Spotlessly clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, nice and ample breakfast all in a great location in the heart of old town Ponte de Lima just a block from the river and walking distance to all local sites and restaurants. This place would be a value at twice the price. Limited English spoken here but we got by with a couple glances at our travelers dictionary. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfectly located in the - quiet - centre of this lovely small town. The building (where the owner was lucky enough to be born!) was originally the grocery store, and reminders of this are artfully retained, especially in the breakfast room with its counter, till, shelves of packages etc.
Bedrooms though are carefully modernised with all amenities. Our room was light and airy, with three windows and fresh white décor. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. Luckily the nearby church bell stops between the hours of 22.00 and 8.00!
Breakfast was tasty and generous, with the home-made cake and excellent coffee a particular attraction... Service throughout was attentive and welcoming.
The hotel has no pretensions, but is traditional, homely and altogether charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay.
