“Excellent welcome - a proper quality hotel”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

This hotel is run from Spain and knows how to look after its guests. We stayed for three nights, and though we found Trinidad to be a little too touristy, we could not fault this hotel in terms of service, cleanliness, comfort and quality of rooms. Our balcony room allowed us to sit out and enjoy the sunset while overlooking the square. Breakfast is very good, but we did not eat other meals here

A lovely modern hotel in a restored period building in the heart of Trinidad, Cuba. Twin room 204 was a good size, with separate walk in wardrobe & very large bathroom with a fantastic shower. Rooms were very clean, and hotel staff very responsive, although reception did run out of CUC's to exchange. The bar was nice, and offered a great Mojito for CUC3.75 which is very reasonable for a hotel of this level. Breakfast was excellent and offered a good choice. Highly recommended.

My wife and I and two friends stayed in this hotel for two nghts this month. Very comfortable rooms on the second floor (no balcony - they are all on the first floor) overlooking the town square. Nice ambience, pleasent and courteous staff. Beautiful entrance hall wth fountain in the middle. Towel sculptures appear in your room when the chambermaids have serviced them! The breakfast was good with plenty of choice - the only disappointment were the sandwiches that our friends had at lunchtime on our first day that cost a bomb and made us decide not to eat in the hotel at night....but we discovered 'Sol y Son' instead (see separate review)!

We stayed here for 2 nights on our recent trip to Cuba and were very pleased with our stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when my husband lost his phone (which he subsequently found) and went to a lot of trouble to try and locate it. Carlos in the bar was a great hit. We did eat in one night and, yes, it was rather expensive in comparison to what you can get outside but it was very good and we enjoyed the meal.

It is a lovely hotel, our room didn't have much of a view but was pleasant enough.

This is not only the best hotel in Trinidad town (did not go to the beach) but the only true hotel. The staff were welcoming, the hotel and the rooms excellent. It is also ideal for exploring, never more than 20 minutes from anywhere.

Don't eat there though it is far too expensive and there is no need as there are many good restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. Also drinks, pay a third for water at the local supermarkets.

This is definately the place to stay in Trinidad.

Room Tip: Book well in advance, we had the best rooms with a sit out on balcvony overlooking the square.

Beautiful foyer with fountain. We had a lovely large room with a view over the square (good sunsets). The chambermaids excelled themselves with the towel sculptures every day. Convenient location and very friendly and helpful staff. Phenomenal choices at breakfast.

We were on the second floor (traveled with group- we had the best view/balcony) and had a view of the rolling hills and household roof tops of Trinidad. Request a good view- others looked at walls! Hotel was clean, staff was accomodating, rooms were nice, showers were hot- a plus in Cuba. The resturant was very good large selection at buffet. While there is no pool here, it's about 15-20 drive to a public beach, very nice! Wifi was sketchy but I found a good spot on sofa in the common area outside of room where I could get emails out.

Room Tip: ASK ABOUT THE VIEW!! You do not want the rooms that have doors open to the wall of the next building...
