It began as a reasonably interesting day trip as part of "Cuba Cruise" with a bus ride and some information about Cuba. The setting was nice and there was a short boat ride to the dolphinarium. We watched a fairly standard seal show and dolphin show. We had a few complimentary drinks and waited a while for our turn to get in the water with the dolphins. This was quite good fun. You go as a group into an area where you take off excess clothing and jewelry, then you get into a shallow area with a couple of dolphins and learn about them, pet them, watch them east (and poop!). A photographer will take pictures of you with your own camera for a small tip. It is all quite entertaining and pretty much as we expected.
But then we got offered the "extra tricks" for 10 CUC each. Its amazing, but the dolphins are so smart and well trained that random tourists - even teenage kids - can get in the water with them and stand on them and ride them, or have two dolphins come up under their feet and lift them ten feet in the air. It is an incredible site!

We went to the Dolphinarium as part of our cruise excursion. We got to spend at least 30 minutes with the dolphins, in groups of 6 per dolphin. You could pay extra to have the dolphins pull you around or throw you up in the air (see my photos). It was definitely worth the extra 10CUC. There were several photographers there who would hold your camera and take pictures of you the whole time. The guy with our camera got about 50 amazing shots! No need to pay the 10CUC for one photo, we just gave the guy the 10CUC instead. The dolphin/sea lion show was cute but not as good as at Marineland. The restaurant was so-so, we ordered the lobster but it was very overcooked and dried out. Having an open bar was a perk though. Overall we loved the experience and would do it again.

My Wife and I booked this excursion at the same time when we booked our trip to Holguin. We were picked up at the Blau Coste Verde Resort where we enjoyed a 20 minute or so bus ride to the Catamaran Cruise dock. The bus ride was nice as it allowed us to see a little of Cuba as we had arrived in the dark when we landed in Cuba. We enjoyed an hour long cruise aboard the catamaran, with an open bar, to where we tied up and went snorkeling on a reef for another hour or so. It was awesome! We then re-boarded the catamaran and sailed to an inlet and were ferried by Water Taxi to the Dolphinarium. We enjoyed a lovely Lobster Lunch and then watched a half hour show featuring several dolphins. We were then split up into several group and designated a Trainer who introduced in the water to 2 adults and one baby dolphin. One of the dolphins kissed us each on the cheek and we got to interact and touch them, rubbing their bellies and fins. My wife was in heaven as this was a life long dream realized! After our one on one with the 3 dolphins, we then got the option to either be lifted out of the water about 20 feet high and dropped, or hold two dolphin's fins and go for a circuit around the pool. This was optional and cost us each 10 pesos, well worth it for a once in a lifetime experience! We then headed back on the Catamaran and boarded the bus. It was an awesome experience and met lots of nice people. This is a 10 out of 10 if you haven's done it before!

Did this as part of the catamaran day. Amazing experience, dolphins were lovely and the Dolphinarium was nicely kept. Open to sea water and enclosures were larger than I expected. Dolphins looked healthy, as did the other animals there (sea lions and turtles we saw). Food and drinks were fine and on par with the resort, no complaints.

Was very cool to do the swim with dolphins! You do get lots of time in the enclosures with them, well worth the money.
