Owner description: Find out for yourself why everyone is calling the Newseum the best experience Washington, D.C. has to offer. Each of the seven levels in this magnificent building is packed with interactive exhibits that explore free expression and the five freedoms of the First Amendment: religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. Whether you have just a few hours or want to spend all day, you'll find something for everyone in the family in the Newseum's 15 theaters and 15 galleries.

If you love words for themselves, you will love the newspapers from every year. If you are a serious student of the role of media in our lives, this museum will be a treasure because the museum immerses you in media of all kinds. The experience was intellectually interesting but left me cold emotionally except for the Pulitzer prize winning photo gallery, the large section of the Berlin Wall, and the mangled radio antenna from the top of the WTC. The view from the top floor is one of the best views of the capitol dome in DC.

OMG! This place is a walk memory lane--it has U.S. and world history --the newspaper publishing, radio, TV and internet are prominent featured here. Nice layouts--pleny of elevator and walkways. This is a joy and worth it in a city with free museums.
Split the enty fee--go one day and let another person(is that allowed??)

I live in DC and have a lot of opportunity to go to the free museums. As a result, I really cringe at museums that charge money and this one is quite pricey. That said - it was worth every penny. This is one of the few museums that I would pay to visit. It is so well put together and flows well. It keeps evolving and current through the exhibits. I wanted to see everything but there is no way I would have the energy to see everything in as much detail as I wanted in one visit. It has major highlights like the Berlin Wall and the radio tower from the WTC. You will not regret paying for this one!

Highly recommend this museum, many times your 1 day pass can get you in the next day. Give yourself a day to visit this extraordinary museum, worth the entry fee. Easy to walk to, easy to park next to. You will learn, experience alot. Even the outside/front area has the top newspapers to preview.
