Description: We're a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means "the daily bread" in French, and like our name suggests, we're bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That's why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you'll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

My friend is vegan and I am vegetarian so we can have a bit of a time finding a breakfast place that fits our needs. When we found Le Pain Quotidien we were almost giddy -- so much so that we came back two days in a row! We had two delicious, relaxed breakfasts -- try the avocado toast and you will not be sorry! -- and even though the restaurant was busy both days we never felt rushed or ignored. Wonderful service. Wonderful food.

Relaxed and informal eatery. Artisan breads, simple fresh meals and great breakfasts. Vegetarian options. Mainly organic. The gruyere and ham omelette was delicious.

As always, the Belgian Daily Bread is superb. This time I had a soft boiled egg with a side of gruyere and ham and an assortment of excellent breads while my partner had the warm Belgian waffle with chocolate sauce. We also loaded up on pastries to enjoy later. Coffee and a decaf cappuccino rounded out the meal. Yum!

Discovered this delightful cafe while on vacation in DC and visited for breakfast.
So pleased we returned the following day.

Wide variety of breakfast choices (many of which we've never heard of as the US breakfast differs so much to ours in the UK)

Lovely peaceful setting with inside or patio seating and classical music in the background.

Tried waffles and berries which were amazing and on another day we had the bread basket followed by danish pastry and the cherry and apple cannole.

On busy days, which i guess would be most as its very popular, its best suited for a relaxed breakfast as service can be slow so not suited for someone in a rush but ideal fir s on our holiday.

We had brunch here at the Georgetown location on our way out of town. The best part of the visit was the atmosphere; the restaurant is beautiful and as the weather was warm, it was open and seating in the courtyard was very popular. The food was good but it took an interminable amount of time to get served, with other tables coming after us receiveing their food well before ours. Little things like asking us how we would like our coffee but then not bringing the cream and sugar; forgetting parts of the order, etc. I would give it a 4.0 just for the atmosphere but it did not deliver on a good meal.
