We took my mother here for her 60th birthday all of the appetizers were amazing, very fresh! We loved the lobster guacamole and the cheese platter. The tuna dinner was also delicious. They brought out a special dessert it was very cute!

The food is delightful, good portions and many choices. The restaurant is large and elegant. The journey begins with the wonderful wait staff and it just gets better from there. You will be delighted. The menu is mainly seafood, but also carries pizza. This is the place to be.

Ever since they remodeled the Sequoia restaurant and currently, renovating the outdoor setting over looking the Kennedy Center, Potomac River and a hard turn to the right, the "Key Bridge", the interior a bit tricky to find the entrance, you need to enter the restaurant via the beautiful Patriotic fountain that sparkles colorful lights! You can't miss it, take your camera, take a picture and then, you will see the glass door to Sequoia. Walk up the stairs, then--you are entering a magical time with professional, yet, educated servers who are passionate and who will bring you treats that are divine. It is really a seafood place, I saw this tower of seafood for $85.00's, worth every bit and a take home photo of the experience if you remembered your camera. The dinner can go well with a glass of Italian champagne or a glass of New Zealand white wine. I had the snow crabs with Stella beer, happy hour special with pizza presented on a piece of wood (Wood Board), really delicious!!

Have fun and enjoy this life! You don't need to wait for a second chance :).

The family & I drop by to Sequoia's for dinner last evening. Antonio (Manager) and Doris ( Our Waitress) treated my family like royalty. Our meal was superb. Looking around one notices Sequoia's on a sunny day is the place to be seen and people watch when in the District of Columbia. We will definitely return.

Enjoyed the view of the Potomac River. Had a fried cod fish sandwich without bread. Was good. Desert was listed as a lemon chiffon cake. could not taste lemon & was a heavy dense cake (vice light as chiffon usually is) - awful.
Service was satisfactory.
