We were headed to the Metro after a tour of the Capital and happened upon this restaurant on our way to the Metro. First, I have to mention to nacho chips and salsa! Our group of three devoured two baskets of these light, crisps chips! The salsa was fresh, not spicy; the chips were the winner. We ordered a chimichanga combo, taco salad, and tacos. Portions were adequate and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We were seated quickly in the large dining room next to the window, so we could people watch! There is a full service bar and something for everyone here!

This was a short walk from the Metro stop to our hotel, and it was a great place to go after a long day of walking and site seeing! Staff very friendly. The margaritas were very good! I had a burrito, which was very good! I would recommend this to anyone!

First, we're So. Californians and eat a lot of Mexican food. We came upon this restaurant while heading for the Metro. You could tell this was a neighborhood restaurant which the locals visit. Had the #1 - it was excellent. The chips were thin and very crisp, just how I like them. The enchilada had a favorable tomatillo sauce, the taco was the weakest part of the meal. They only have house wines, but the chardonnay was nice. This was just a serendipitous selection, but a good one.

Made reservations for a large group on a recent Friday night. Table was ready and overall we had a nice time. Decent beer and the food was also decent. Not out-of-this-world but it hit the spot. So many choices for everyone. Waiter (sorry forgot his name) was outstanding so for that I give a VG rating.

The good:
- Location - easy to get to from our hotel and Capitol Hill
- Attentive service
- Really good food, including yes, the guacamole balls (they were a special so I don't think they're a standard menu item)
- Excellent selection of draft beers - draft Pacifico is not easy to find

The not so good:
- Would've liked a bit more variety in the specials of the day (the entrees were various types of hot dogs.....at a Tex Mex spot??)
