“India--The Best Ever!”

The wait staff is absolutely some of the best I have had --EVER & Anywhere!
This place has a very high rating and deserves every high star it gets and more. The food is wonderful--as good as it could possibly get-- and with a little bit of pleasantry you can get a half serving of almost anything and get to try even more of this incredible food.
Every superb thing you have heard about this place is true. I will- and you will-want to go back. (must have the fried spinach)

“Late...and great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

Friends in the D.C. area insisted that we visit Rasika and they booked a table a month beforehand at 9:45 pm--the earliest reservation they could make. That is how popular this establishment is and it manifested itself when we walked in: the bar area was crowded with other patrons waiting for tables. Lighting was low and the area wasn't overwhelmed with food odors. It was mostly a young crowd in their 30s and dressed as if going to clubs or parties in the area. We were finally seated about 30 minutes after our reservation time and the staff was very apologetic, even providing us with free appetizers! Our waiter was a fascinating gentleman who could have passed for our President and he took great care of us! And the food--first rate in its presentation, temperature and taste. We shared four entrees and a couple of side dishes and there was plenty to go around. Try the bison dish if you get a chance! Overall, a phenomenal dining experience!

“Indian food that makes your taste buds dance and your soul lift...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2012

Incredibly flavorful Indian food combined with tasteful ambiance and very attentive service. We walked in at 2:00PM on a rainy Friday afternoon and were fortunate to find a table. The food was superb - perfectly spiced and not bathed in masala infused grease (as is usually the case). We sampled the delectable Bhindi with amchur, the salmon tikka and the panner skewer, finishing off with the sublime date-toffee cake. The tandoori items were perfectly grilled - dry on the outside and flavorful and moist on the inside. People of DC - rejoice - you have a true gem here.....

What can I say. This place has a great atmosphere and wonderful Indian cuisine. It is a perfect date night or great place with friends. Prices are reasonable and the food is out of this world!
