We met a group of friends here for lunch on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. What a fun experience!! Great selection of beers on tap and some fun local wines...Excellent, attentive service from Virginia...great outdoor deck for relaxing...Outstanding food from Owner Michael working hard on the outdoor grills and smoker...Even a spotless restroom....What more could you possibly want??...
A few tips: Don't miss the fresh Oysters / Ribeye / Tri -Tip and Chili (nice surprise here, slightly sweet but with nice heat and complex depth coming from the 3 types of peppers and sugars used). Loved the pickled Cukes/red onion/garlic combination.
In fact, all the produce (corn on the cob and watermelon come as sides) were some of the best we'd had this season! We've heard good things about the Lamb but didn't order it this time.
Even more important tips: They tend to run out of fresh Oysters and the Chili toward the end of the weekend...If you are coming up and want to try those items, you might want to call ahead...Also - This is not "Grab & Go / Cheap Eats"...Slow down and relax on the deck, have another beer or glass of wine, enjoy the day.....

Strolling Amador City we were looking for a light lunch in a place with character. We got the latter aplenty but our tasty meals were more than ample. The simple deck towards the rear provides not just great al fresco accommodations (there's space inside, too) but a front seat to the chef's exertions as he works his way along several grills and griddles. His output was delicious! We devoured the perfectly grilled ribeye with sautéed onions and mushrooms sandwich and a delicious Ploughman's Platter topped with cold roast lamb. A great place to enjoy an honest freshly prepared lunch in a unique atmosphere.

We Stopped here on a whim today. Everything was fantastic! We bought a steak sandwich, a lamb sandwich and a tri tip. All three were outstanding. Also really really liked the chili that came with the sandwiches! Very promising new place for BBQ sandwiches and oysters!
