“Southern California Coach Tours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2012

We booked 3 tours through this operator during our stay at Anaheim. Universal Studios, Legoland and Sea World San Diego rather than attempt to drive the Freeways. We booked over the internet before we arrived and were provided with vouchers and pick up times via email. I was a little concerned about paying up front but we had no issue with the tours we picked. One issue with booking in advance is that you have to pick days in advance with no regard for the weather. We just took the risk and given we had limited options in terms of days it was not an issue.

I did ring to confirm pick-up times the night before our tours just in case. The bus picks you up from your Hotel and drops you at a depot where you then stand in line to check in for your tour before proceeding to the bus you need to get on. This was a bit painful and on our first tour we waited over 40mins to complete this process - it all depends on how many tours they have on the day. The other 2 days were less of an issue.

All in all the buses were in good condition and the drivers were informative and provided helpful tips for some of the parks. They were on time and very prompt with pick-up times so if your late they will leave - but you are well informed of this before you get off the bus.

Pricing was in line with other companies but I booked these as the depot was close to the Disneyland hotels.

Whilst the pick-up from the hotel might be a little late, the drivers and service are very good. They will pick you up and take you to a depot to collect your paperwork for the final destination. You'll then transfer to your bus and do the tour. At the end you'll be taken back to your Hotel/Motel.

“Awful”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2012

We did the LA city tour and paid $67 pp on Dec 30th. Understood that LA has traffic issues but our bus driver kept complaining about the traffic. Never attempted to stop at any attractions in LA: Staples centre, Olympic area. When we reached Santa Monica he dropped us 4 blocks from the pier with only about 90 minutes time to see the area. Being a cold foggy afternoon it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the pier and what made me angry was that buses from the same company were dropping off people much closer to the pier. Felt ripped off by this company and their shoddy service.

Tip: when in Anaheim go with VIP tours Anaheim - their driver was decent enough to actually stop at many LA attractions even it was for a quick photo op.

“Great Bus Line”

We've used this service many times on our trips to the USA. Especially day tours to other attractions and of course to Las Vegas.

“excellent service and value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2011

We took a day trip from Anaheim to San Diego Sea World, booked through our Anaheim hotel. A bus picked us up at 8:15 as promised, then dropped us at the terminal, where we paid our balance and then proceeded to the bus to San Diego. The bus was modern and clean, although my son complained that there was no internet. The bus left as scheduled and the driver gave an excellent description of the passing sites as well as a commentary on Southern California real estate prices. He diverted to show us San Juan Capistrano, and a couple other sites of interest. Still, he got us to Sea World on time and efficiently guided us through the gates. Sea World was great, and we were picked up and dropped back at our hotel at 8:00 pm. No commentary on the return trip, but most adults were just sleeping anyway. As we entered Anaheim the driver provided a brief overview of dining options near our hotels.
Excellent service overall.
