We are still at the Inn and leaving tomorrow. i wish we could extend our stay! We used to stay at the grand Calif but was talked into staying here by friends who swear by this place. I was skeptical at first ( even almost cancelled to book at the grand) but promised that I'd give it a shot. Candy cane is amazing. The staff (esp James) were accommodating as were the drivers. Breakfast was good and not sure why some reviews were complaining. They offer fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels etc...all which one usually eats in the morning. The rooms were clean and house cleaning was spot on. We didn't watch tv one bit but who cares that they weren't flat screen. The walk to Disney wasn't bad but we did take advantage of the shuttle which was very precise.
The two things that left a negative impression were 1) when I asked the front desk late at night (around 10) where I could trash leftover food (all bagged up), he reluctantly took it ( intended to trash it myself) and 2) the couple next door smoke a lot and they keep smoking right outside their doorway knowing there a kids running outside. Im not aware of their smoking policy but there should be designated areas.
All in all, beyond fantastic stay and I can say that we will no longer be staying at the grand! BTW, we had no internet issues.More
