We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn for 8 nights in Dec.
What everyone says about this hotel is true, you cannot find a closer hotel to Disneyland than this one.
The room was clean, the beds comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of four (this includes a teenage daughter with all her MUST have items) and ALOT of luggage.
Before we left, I read the reviews of this hotel and most people complained about the continental breakfast. I thought these people must be very picky. But they were right, my children would not eat there, even with the threat of getting nothing else until lunch time (which of course went out the window as soon as we passed the first churro cart in Disneyland).
We were happy with the room and with the housekeeping staff who were always friendly, our only complaint was with the front desk staff. They were very rude and not at all helpful. We were ignored every time we went to the front desk until we finally said hello, and it wasn't for lack of staff, there was always at least three people there. They didn't even attempt to answer our questions, the best they would do was direct us down the street to a tourist/ticket place.
We are going back to Anaheim in May, and we would've stayed at this hotel again in a heartbeat (they also had great internet access in the room, my daughter "talked" to her friends every night on msn), but because the front desk staff, who are in the hospitality industry, were so inhospitable, we're trying the Tropicana Inn right next door.

We stayed in one of the mini suites and were very happy. We had two queen sized beds and a sofa bed so were able to spread out. The location couldn't be better. The breakfast next door was okay; toast, bagels, corn flakes, raisin bran, sweet rolls, oranges, juice and coffee. We supplemented with hot cocoa mix, our neighbors brought in peanut butter. The rooms come with a fridge and a coffee maker, so you could do breakfast in your room. The pool was small and the jacuzzi was crowded. Parking was tight, but once we parked our car we didn't move it for four days because everything is so close. For dinner, the restaurants at Downtown Disney are fun, even if the food isn't so great, and if you have a car, the Chicken restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm is fabulous.
We had a great time, and we'll definitely be back.

We are AP holders and stayed here for the first time from February 10-14, 2005. We have two children, ages 4 & 6. Our rate was about $100 per night for a room on the third floor with two queens and a sofabed. The room was average size and included a small desk, but only one sink with a vanity that was seperate from the toilet/tub/shower area. The room has a refrigerator and microwave, but the motel doesn't offer in-room internet access.

As others have said, the location is right across the street from where the shuttles drop passengers off. I'd classify our family as low maintenance when it comes to staying at hotels near Disneyland. We spend most of our time at the park and just need a hotel to sleep in and get ready each morning. We didn't use the pool and other than check-in & out, didn't have to call on the staff. Maid service was very good and the desk staff was friendly. We didn't have trouble parking, although there did appear to be some tight spots.

The continental breakfast is fine. There was toast, bagels, cinnamon rolls, fruit, cold cereal, juice and coffee. While nothing fantastic, it is a free meal to start the day and certainly should be factored in when deciding where to stay.

Just got back last night - stayed here 2/23-2/27. I looked through tons of hotel reviews on TripAdvisor before deciding to stay at the Park Place Inn & Suites. The thing that I kept coming back to in my deliberations was the distance to the Disneyland entrance. (We were traveling with 3 little girls, ages 4, 4 and 6.) And it was as close as everyone said - the closest hotel possible, as far as I could tell, even including the Disney hotels.

We did give up a few things in order to stay here: indoor room entrances, room service, a decent hotel restaurant. And a couple of things were less than ideal: small pool, very basic continental breakfast (we skipped it after the first time). But the rooms were VERY CLEAN and good-sized, the staff was nice and we didn't hear any outside noise at night. And, the price was right: We paid $99 for the first two nights and $119 for the next two.

We were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend it to other families with small kids.

Incidentally, we avoided Captain Kidd's restaurant entirely except for our first continental breakfast upstairs. Mimi's is just up the street and is pretty good. Also, there is a La Brea bakery in Downtown Disney - we ate breakfast there twice.

This hotel is right across the street from the Disneyland pedestrian enterance. You will not find a closer hotel. The room was clean but the free contiental breakfast was just OK. We also tried the breakfast vouchers for the restaurant downstairs and was disappointed. We ordered the pancakes with strawberry topping, we got three pancakes with only one strawberry on each pancake!!!
We also tried this restaurant the evening we arrived and was disappointed.

The hotel is good but stay away from the restaurant next door.
