“Stayed almost free (for price we saved)”

I think this was the best deal i have ever received... the room was very nice, and the price was unbelievable for what you get. We paid about $100 for the night but received free parking & breakfast. There was 4 of us, so the amount we paid, pretty much covered the cost of our stay. Very short walk to Disneyland (in fact one of Disneyland's parking structures is on the other side of hotel).

2 days parking = $30 ($15 per day at Disneyland & we went 2 days)
Free Hot Breakfast = $40 (if $10 per person)

WILL STAY AGAIN & WOULD RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!!!!

Room Tip: Close walk to Disneyland, but didn't realize til we left that we could have taken tram from next...

I have stayed in this hotel before and had a great stay again this time. The hotel is very nice and the prices were great. Parking is $14 a day but you have to pay for parking at the majority of the hotels around Disneyland. It is only about 2 blocks from Disneyland so very easy to walk even with my 5 year old daughter. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my 6th visit to Anaheim and I've stayed at many of the hotels in the area, all of which are very family focussed (for very obvious reasons). Essentially, what you see is what you get with most, and unless you want the close proximity of staying within the Disneyland resort, most hotels offer pretty much the same experience. The Red Lion is very centrally located, within easy 2 block walking distance to Disneyland and surrounded by dining options. It is on South Harbour Boulevard which gives you direct access to the tourist bus service, airport transfers, and theme park transfer options. Not that most would need it, but you can even catch a bus the very short distance to Disneyland from the front door. There is a large mall around the corner, complete with cinema, and restaurants, plus a few blocks away is the larger Block Shopping Centre (accessed by bus, or walk, if you feel like exploring the local area). I did not eat at the hotel restaurant (including breakfast, which you can include in some deals), so cannot comment. But it did seem very full every morning and even in the evenings, when it reverts to an Italian restaurant. The rooms are clean and spacious, with wireless internet access, comfortable beds and a large screen TV. Some have views of the Disneyland Park and nightly fireworks. There is also a business centre/internet room, which was always very accessible - and free. Not that I had a car, but there is a nightly fee for parking. Overall, this is an above average Disneyland offering in a fantastic location. Shop around the various online sites for a great deal. Finally, we arrived very early after an overnight flight from Australia, so we were unable to check in. The staff gladly secured our luggage until the afternoon, when were we able to check in without problem.

Booked a room for an overnight Disney California Adventure weekened get away. The room rate was awesome! Booked at their hotel website for the "MAGIC" package which includes 2 queen beds, Buffet Breakfast for 2 adults (kids under 10 eats free by the way), and parking included for an amazing price of $79.00 with taxes comes up to a little over $91. Check in was a breeze, early check in (around 9 am ) was provided. We park at the lot, and walked to disney to find out disney was close due to security issues. a lot of people was at the gate. The buzz was it will not open on that day (sat March 4) till around 3 pm. But thanks , they opened after an hour. People who are inside already were not allowed to come out (for disney mornings). So by 11 am (an hour after they should open) they let people in. At night ,we went back to hotel (by walking as well). Were supposed to drive our car and park at disney parking for shuttle but the hotel front desk told us that we were still need to pay $15 at disney parking lot if we do that which was about half a block from the hotel. So we did not bother and just walk. The buffet breakfast is really nice. They even allow us to stay until 1 pm with no charges for the late check out. But there was an incidence that happened around past 11 am , the alarm was set off and we were toldto leave the hotel premises by stairs. When I went to front desk to check out, I was told a kid was accidently set off the alarm! Basically, if your not that too picky and on a budget, this hotel will fit to a T! Specially if you can avail of their "magic" package! Thanks for reading my review!

Suggestions for the hotel:
a)Complimentary Shuttle Service for the park
b)Check out kiosk on the lobby or check out by hotel TV
c)Put a hot tub/whirpool on the pool area. There are still a lot of space.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on higher floor and facing the Harbor Boulevard for a glimpse of the fireworks! They...

This hotel is good for the price we got Travelzoo special $82.00 a night, free buffett breakfast & free parking. It is two big blocks to disneyland & we walked a few times it took about 20 min.we mostly took the shuttle very fast 5 min ride.comes every 20 min. $4 adults. The breakfast buffett is often given free because it is not very good & the service is worse.I-HOP is right next door kids eat free. The pool is in the shade most of the time but is heated.we pulled our chairs to the sun & had a very good time. They had towels available at the pool area & we recieved extras when ever we wanted from housekeeping. We stayed with Twin baby boys 10 months old & a 3 yr old. they gave us two cribs & that was nice but we had to have the babies fully covered to crawl on the floor because the carpet was so rough it left rug burn.We will probably stay somewhere else while the babies are young but I think it would be great for older kids.

Over all an excellent stay! Usually stay at te Travelodge down the street for it's price. This hotel was very nice! Nice rooms and comfortable beds! Anaheim shuttle bus stops right in front! Great when your dead tried from walking around the park! Staff is friendly. Came back nice tidy and clean rooms. Decor is nice.

My one and only complaint. I book this hotel through priceline.com. The one and only reason why I booked it (other than location and price) FREE PARKING! Nope! I was charged $14 a day for parking! Had no idea until I checked it! So I'll probably never stay here again and just stay at the Travelodge down the street.

At first glance, you would expect to be greeted by the bell hope as you drive up the small drive way in front of the hotel with a small canopy. As you stop in front of the entrance, you notice that no one is running out to greet you. That is due to the self serve atmosphere the hotel has. You drive up, stop, you get the luggage rack from the hotel lobby (if you need it) and unload your own luggage onto the rack if needed. Then you are greeted and checked in once at the desk. No help was offered but it was expected since I had to self serve my self anyway. The hotel is fairly clean and maintained for this type of hotel. It is in fair walking distance to the magic kingdom or you can either drive your self or avoid the line to the M.K. parking lot and cab in. Disney also has a shuttle that stops at each of the "good neighbor" hotels to shuttle you in at a price. The room we checked into was the premium with a view of the Disney fireworks at a distance. Not too bad and a nice touch to face the general direction where the fireworks are. Just be sure it's not a cloudy night, or it will be a muted view of the fireworks. The room itself was ok and the one we were given was dusty. I was sneezing after a short while in the room. No windows to open, which is typical. It does have AC under the window, mini fridge for a six pack or your med's that need to be refrigerated. Be sure to click on the left inside wall of the the fridge to get it to cool down right away. It was warm when I opened the fridge door. Nice flat screen TV that was a good size, not huge, but not small. Coffee maker, micro wave (nice) and a small electronic safe to store small items, such as a net book or other valuable electronic's that travel with us. House keeping is usually slow, so when you are waking up the next morning, don't expect a knock until later on in the day. They probably do that to be sure your not in when they open the door with their master card key. The pool is ok, and access to it was easy and not too far from the main building. Has a nice fire pit area near the pool to hang out. Parking is self serve or self-park. No attendant on site, which was sort of expected but I didn't have a problem with that. The parking lot had sufficient space's when we went from Fri. night to Sun. morning check out. The only problem occurred when exiting the parking lot. The main boulevard was packed with traffic and if you don't time the exit just right, you will get stuck blocking pedestrian traffic or worse, blocking the guest car's as they are waiting for you to turn right. I hate it when they get impatient and start honking when there is nothing I can do to get out onto the street faster. IHOP was right next door, but don't expect to have a table waiting for you. You will have quite a wait at rush hour breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel's family friendly restaurant is also jam packed during peek hours and literary empty with no attendant on duty at other times. They do have a grab and go paper lunch box if you are running out of time and have to eat as you run around the area. Overall, it is an ok hotel and I probably might stay again. The price is reasonable and the room we chose at booking was ok, except for the dusty interior.

Room Tip: Get the premium room with the Disney Fireworks view if you like to see the fireworks before going to...
