A motel (rooms open to outside, not an interior hallway) with decent to good amenities. It's a five-minute drive to Humboldt State, and you can walk across the street for good coffee and a couple of good restaurants.
Great greeting on check-in: Bryan was friendly and very helpful, answering all of our questions and making us feel welcome. We had a first-floor room, which like the inn was older but comfortable. The soap, shampoo and conditioner for the shower are in a dispenser on the wall opposite the shower head. Great water pressure in the shower. Comfortable beds, good TV.
Good breakfast: make your own waffles, plus eggs, meats, bagels and pastries, dairy items and juices. Pretty good coffee available 24/7 in the lobby.
We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, and there's plenty of parking. If you're looking for hotel-level amenities, this might not be for you, but a great budget option.More
