Historically Ray's has not been one of my favorite places but our visit last night has changed that, it is still expensive but there is definitely more value. They have remodeled and the new (to us) décor was lighter and more up-beat.

Wine list is good, wines by the glass is good with some high-end options. Their sherry for after dinner is a nice rich sweet oloroso which is something I like and hard to find. Our server did not know about the sherry, didn't offer to find out if it was sweet or dry but that was about the only service failure.

The food was very good, both of our entres were excellent, my wife really liked her salad, and their flexibility of switching side dishes was nice - although their choices of side dishes were not very exciting. My crab cakes were delicious, fresh and flaky meat. The chocolate mousse pie was excellent.

At this point in time, I would definitely go back and try their steaks to compare with this seafood dinner.

Nice ambiance, excellent service, great appetizers. Ordered filet mignon medium and so did many others in our party. Our filets were bit over cooked, which was very disappointing. Key lime pie for dessert was good.

Have eaten at the other Rays. This was just as good. Service top notch. Food tasty. Slightly pricey.

Remember the best Sunday Brunch you've eaten and take it up a level -- that will give you an idea of how good the brunch at Ray's is. From the perfectly done brisket to the quality bacon to the mozzarella salad, there is variety for all diets. (And don't forget the creme brûlée and the banana pudding!) Naison and Gloria did a wonderful job of keeping our tea glasses and coffee cups filled. Our new favorite spot on Sunday mornings!

Our family of 6 had a great table near both buffet lines. We were 4 adults and 2 boys 8 and 10 years old. Everyone had everything they wanted and enjoyed the after church brunch. The restaurant was packed, but the lines had a good ebb and flow so that you did not have to wait. The food was very good, the hot food was warm and still tasty.
Good value.
