“Excurtions through Cocobeach Tuff E Nuff tours”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

The trip was special. Through Cocbeach there is a company called Tuff E Nuff tours which allows you to do many excursions. Personally I recommend the Catamaran which was a blast. Additionally if you are big into scuba diving and snorkeling Belize has the largest connected reef in the world. Tuff E Nuff Tours will take you to a speical reserve with guides and you and whoever you are with can swim with amazing fish. Also on the Catamaran tour we swam with the fish which was extremely rewarding. There is also Cave tubing which was fun however it is extremily expensive at around 200 dollars a person, however if you do alot of tours usually you are able to negotiate the price down. The Hotel its self has the most beautifal pool on the island it is a salt water pool. there are two. One has a in water bar while the other has a water slide which is fun and a huge stone statue of sort in the middle which the slide is built in and you can jump of the top which is probally 8 feet high. The staff is extreamily nice and willing to work with you at the hotel however outside the resort some of the locals can ignore you and not be as nice as they should while other are as nice as can be. The language is Creol which is a diolet of english and african. However all of the workers at the hotel and many of the locals speek english as well as some spanish. The rooms were amazing and always as clean as could be i felt safe and special. Additionally it can be very quiet because it is not particuarly crowded. There is a restaurant that is still being built like many things on the island there is a lot of constrution going on now. The food is not amazing but it is duable. One way I would discribe the hotel is tourst location prices without the luxuries. It is quite expensive for not having the ability to take 2 showers or once or streaming a youtube video on the hotels wifi. Something that is a must is renting a golf cart. Imagine New York city but instead of cars golf carts. The rules are you must be 18 and you can travel by golf cart. It so amazing and something which is special to Belize. It is important that if you are someone who is looking for a ocean with waves and a nice beach Belize should not be your first choice. There arent waves and seweed grows all alone where the ocean floor where most people swim because of the fact it is protected plants by the goverment. It is safe and I imgain will become a hot spot for a safe vaction

Hope this is helpfull

Room Tip: rent a golf cart to travel by.

My wife and I stayed at Coco Beach Resort from Dec 23-30 2011 and we could not have asked for a better stay. They picked us up at the airport, had a taxi and a water taxi waiting for us. It was a beautiful 10-15 min boat ride to the resort and on the way, the driver gave us a great little tour of the coast. When we arrived at the dock we were greated with nice cool towels and were taken to the office. When checking in we were upgraded to one of 5 private casitas which was nicer than my apt and had a full kitchen which was very helpful.

Over our week stay we were greeted daily by a very friendly staff who were always willing to do anything for us. During our stay we did the snokel tour through the company associated with Coco beach of Hol-Chan and Shark Ray alley and was the best snorkeling I have every done. The guides were awesome and really made the trip enjoyable. We also did a sunset cruise on a cataraman and a fishing trip which were both perfect.

I would say the only downfall of Coco beach while we were there was the lack of food on the resort itself. It is a fairly new resort and they are almost done building a upscale restaurant and a sandwich/bakery shop directly on the resort. Once this is done, you really won't have to go far to get great food. But if you are interested in getting around the island, which we did a lot of, there are water taxi's that take you 2 and from town and also a few of the upscale restaurants will pick you up at your dock.

Overall, this was a great stay and I highly reccomend the place. We plan on going back, but hopefully the rates do not get too high since it was just showcased on The Bachelor this week!

Room Tip: Loved the private casita; it is not directly on the water, but a perfect romatic room!

As a world traveler, I have had the opportunity to visit some amazing places. This resort provided a much needed, relaxing, mini vacation for me and my boyfriend. I had very little expectations on what I would get other than what the pictures from the website provided. Those pics do not begin to do this resort justice.

Like all trips, the experiences make the trip special and one of a kind. Our stay at Coco Beach was amazing. First class service made us feel at home. The staff were so well versed in the art of customer service that they knew us by name the first day and treated us like family. Janine the Resort Manager greeted us on the dock. Deon and Milton, the bartenders were charming and funny. They spent a lot of time with the guests, getting to know them and making them feel relaxed. Probably the best Super Bowl party I have ever been to was the one here.

The rooms were decorated like an upscale spa, fresh flowers greeting us on the first day. Very clean, no bugs and an a/c that will freeze you out. The bed was very comfortable and didn't feel hotel-y.

I know that next time I will bring my children because the pools were beautiful. A gorgeous slide for the young and young at heart tops the list of fun activities at the resort.

Belize was amazing and Coco Beach made it all the more special.

Glad to return the favor of the reviews so people can make good choices for their vacations. We got off to a rocky start. We thought Tropic Ferry was going to be a great choice. We thought it was going to be 140.00 round trip for both me and my daughter. It was actually 140 one way!!! found out when I got there. Not a great surprise. I definately would of taken a plane if I wanted to pay that much. The guys on the boat were friendly, however... the price was decieving and cut into our play budget! I would not recommend them in the future. I was stuck paying the 140 because all of the other water taxi's had left for the day. The last one I think is around 6pm. They dropped us off at our hotel and didn't help us with bags at all. Did not inform the hotel we were coming so they could help us with bags. It was less than pleasant. Deciding how to get there was a challange. In the future the regular water taxis are the way to go if you don't have alot of cash for air. All you do is take a car tax from the air port to the water taxis when you arrive. They come every couple of hours. Then take the water taxi about an hour and 15 to ambergris caye. Then you just snag a water taxi to the resort which takes about 15 min to get to. If you have to wait in between big deal. There are cold beers at the stop. Cocoa beach resort was incredible. The staff was very friendly. The whole place is out of a post card. It is that beautiful in real life. You go out to the dock and wait for a water taxi to go into town and it comes in every couple of hours. The food situation I did not find that difficult. There is food to the right of you and food to the left of the resort. Really not a big deal. It was a beautiful little stroll over. Takes maybe 5min at most. Beautiful stroll back. We had some small issues with the room and we were more than taken care of. The town is about 15 min riding in the golf cart from the resort. Its way fun to take a golf cart and park it in town and grab a bite. It is the best way to see the town. That was really fun at least one of the days. We booked massages on the beach in front of the resort. Could not have been better. The pina coloda's and dirty bananna's at the bar are to die for! Worth every cent. We did not do any excursions. We just chilled at the resort and went into town. It is the ultimate place to just park it and get some R &R. Every one speaks english so thats no prob. I did not feel unsafe even for a second. The town is very third world and not beautiful, just alot of souvenier shops etc. Our favorite spot to eat with an incredible view was estels on the beach. Oh yea and go down the water slide atleast once at the resort It shoots you out like a cannon. It is fun even for a 34 yr old! There were probably 20 other people that we saw at the resort. It was very secluded and very unpopulated when we were there which was such a great thing. We sat in the hot tub with the view is to die for. We had a 2bdrm with studio set back a ways by the back of the resort. If you can afford it get beach front all the way. You literally walk out your front door and you are standing in front of a post card view of the turqoise blue ocean and the dock that extends out into the water. There are hammocks out front that we had to take a nap in. And once again I felt so safe, I fell asleep out in front of the resort in a hammock. The second you arrive there you just really feel a sense of calm that I have not experienced anywhere else. Coca beach is for the person that needs to just get away from it all. Get away from the hustle of daily life, the stress of work etc. and come let the island completely heal and rejuvinate you like it did for me. I went jan 26 2012 and I still feel the calm of the island. Have a great trip.

Room Tip: We started in a hotel room and upgraded to a 2bdrm. Glad we did.

My new lovely wife and I spent a week at Coco Beach and loved it! What a romantic and serene setting. This is the most exotic resort we have stayed at, the swim up pool bar was great! You must try the pool slide and jump off the top at least once, what a rush. We had a lovely romantic dinner served to us on the beach on night catered by the restaurant. If you want to impress your loved one, this is a must do! The staff was so hospitable and friendly and they were willing to assist with anything. My wife had a massage on the beach also and she loved it, very relaxing. Rooms were very clean and the bed was nicer than the one I have in my house. Overall, great experience, we will be back.

We had 5 adult couples in our group at Coco Beach Resort. We had 3-2 bed, 2 bath suites with a pool and sea view, the rooms are very clean. All of the suites have huge covered patios, awesome bathrooms, full kitchens, living and dining rooms, and the beds ate really comfortable. The pools and bar are incredible!!! The bar staff is very friendly and will help you enjoy your stay(great guys). The grounds crew manicure all the sand and plant beds every morning and they too are very personable!!! I could not say one bad thing about our stay and look forward to going back. When in San Pedro the best snorkel trip is on a catamaran with Lady Leslie Belize!!!!

We went to Coco Bech Resort in mid October 2011 to celebrate the 20th wedding anniversary for my sister and brother-in-law. They renewed their vows with a ceremony on the beach, it was absolutely beautiful. Michelle took care of every last detail, things we didn’t even think of – she’s amazing. It was great to be met at the boat with the cold towels and the cool beverage at check in. These guys really understand the meaning of customer service, and it was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Coco Beach Resort.

It was my first trip to Belize, and Coco Beach Resort, it will not be my last, and I am hoping to return this year. I have traveled to many locations and stayed at a varitiy of different resorts and hotels, I must say this vacation was the ‘Best’ one ever. Coco Beach Resort’s staff are ‘Excellent’ and always right there to take care of your every need. Every request was answered with a yes and a smile. All entire bar staff were excellent, friendly, and lots of fun, drinks were great. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back!!

We stayed in a condo right over the bar, it was awesome (Room E2) the view was amazing, the beds were very comfortable; it was well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. The cleaning service was great! We made a trip to town on the first day there and bought what we needed for breakfast and lunch for the week, worked out great. There are several excellent restaurants close to the resort and the Green Iguana has great food and room service. Can’t wait to see the new restaurant on site!! The water taxi is available every hour.

Yes, there are mosquitoes; we have them here in Texas also, so tip of the day – use baby oil or skin-so-soft, these work better than the repellant with Deet. I discovered this little tip years ago on dive trips.

Room Tip: Condo E2, has very comfortable beds and the view is amazing!!
