Go slow is the moto of the island. No cars, but many golf car looking things and bicycles. We took a sailing tour. It was amazing.

I was expecting after being in Mexico amazing beaches with beautiful sand to lay on. The only beach that is swimable on the island is the spit where if you want to sit on a chair there you will be approached constantly to buy overpriced drinks or food. Not much shade to sit under. If your not diving or snorkelling I would give it a miss. Juans kitchen has had the best food so far that is not expensive. The bakery is lovely to get fresh bread rolls even though at 730 on Monday morning we couldn't get a loaf of bread😎not much to do here besides eat drink and go on snorkel tours😎I have found the island to be expensive so far lots of supermarkets that vary in prices you can buy 4 beers at one for 9 Belize and go to another one and pay $14 for the same thing😎
I think I could just stay here forever. I love the slow vibes and the beautiful atmosphere. There are lots of great places to eat and things to do. The lodging is really affordable. Remember to wear sunscreen!
If you're looking for a slow paced relaxing vacay or if you're looking for ocean adventures--Caye Caulker is for you! We stayed for two weeks, ate out for every meal at a different restaurant each time.
Beautiful small island that operates at a slower pace. No cars, only golf carts and bicycles. Don't even need those since it is easy to walk everywhere. What a gem.
My first visit to Caye Caulker and I loved it! Journeyed from Tulum in Mexico, via Coruzal and the San Pedro Ferry in June 2017. Caye Caulker is laid back with packed sand roads and no cars. Days spent on (or under) the water on merely sitting in the sun. Evenings spent chilling in waterside bars and restaurants. Locals very friendly, always happy to stop and talk. I can't wait to go back.
