Lovely Anglican/Episcopal Church in Belize City. My tour driver asked if I would be interested in seeing this old Church? My response, absolutely!

We visited here as part of a family history trip. We wanted to visit a plaque in the church which honours family ancestors. We were welcomed into the Sunday service with open arms and the locals all spent time chatting with us afterwards.
It was a lovely way to be welcomed to Belize City!

This is a small Cathedral, and part of the roof has different bricks from a previous hurricane. There was a lady who spoke about the Cathedral and how it was from the slaves time onwards. This was fascinating and we really enjoyed viewing this stunning Cathedral.

To appreciate the history of belize, this is an important stop and definitely worth exploring! One of the interesting aspects of the building is that it was built with ballast stones and one can see the different colors of the stones as it was built over the years.
