We stayed here for one night, our first night in Belize. We stayed in the Cahal Pech room, number 101, which was clean but a little dated. It is a two bedroom suite with some great artwork from local artists. The air conditioning worked well and the views were amazing, both from the restaurant and from the balcony off our room. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The dinner was alright, but a little pricey for what we had. There was a local man selling hand made bracelets and carvings in the lobby area, and he adjusted one for my daughter while we ate dinner, and told us some great stories about his life in Belize. The breakfast was much better than dinner, as the fry jacks and eggs were very good, and the homemade tortillas were excellent. Our 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter enjoyed the three level pool and the grounds. The grounds are beautiful, and the best part was the Resort's proximity to the Cahal Pech ruins, which we visited early in the morning.

I spent 4 days here with my friend and 9 year old daughter. First, let me say Lenny helped us book an amazing trip with some meals and tours included. We stayed in the cabanas which was small but comfortable. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room. Oscar’s drinks were excellent, the pool was refreshing and the food and service were great. We also visited Xunantunich, Tikal, Cahal Pech and the Mayan pottery village. We were happy with everything. All of the staff was polite and everyone goes out of their way to know your name. My only suggestion for improvement would be please replace pool lounge chairs and add a few more.

Was here for my daughters wedding. The cabana was ok, but resort looked a little run down. Bathroom hasn't been modernized since the last century. Buffet breakfast was good. We often walked into town for meals etc. a very steep rocky road. Over all an ok experience, with only one power outage.

We were disappointed with the service, the uncomfortable beds, the cleanliness of the room and and the overall experience. There is a nice view of the region from this hill, but that is the only thing we really enjoyed at the hotel. We ended up leaving early and forfeiting our payment. The room was too uncomfortable to stay any longer.

We stayed in one of the cabins separate from the hotel. My wife and I loved having a hammock to relax in at the end of the day. Plus it was enclosed by a screen to keep bugs away. House keeping would turn off AC during the day but even when we turned it back on the room did not cool down until the sun did. The restaurant was good and nice to eat at when we didn't want to pay for a cab into town (breakfast not included in price). You can walk but it's down a hill and will take about 25 minutes. Pool was always crowded and they didn't have many chairs to relax in. Toilet had low pressure so flushing was always....questionable.

Overall the hotel for this price range is probably the best being close to town.
