Best place in Punta Gorda if not all of Belize. Of all the places we stayed while traveling throughout Belize this is the one place we keep talking about and referring people to. Will stay here again when we visit this way again.

The rooms here are very big. The amenities were all as advertised. A good spot to stay if you like to walk around and experience Punta Gorda. There's a big collection of DVDs you can borrow if you're a late night person. The kitchen had everything you needed to make dinner but there are plenty of good places to eat, starting a block away. Esme is a fantastic hostess.

Room was clean and spacious with ocean views through the windows or the hammock on the patio. Prettiest spot I saw in Punta Gorda. Hotel staff friendly and accommodating. Seeing that staircase in the picture makes me miss it. Very close to a couple great restaurants on the water. Easy walk to downtown PG.

Room Tip: only a few rooms, may want to book in advance

This is such a lovely little oasis in Punta Gorda town. Facing the sea, the breezes are wonderful and you can hear the waves crashing below. The gardens are beautifully and lovingly maintained. The units themselves are very well designed, tastefully decorated, large, clean and extremely comfortable. I felt completely relaxed and at home on the property. Esme is really gracious and makes delicious carrot cake and banana bread that is served with a selection of fresh fruit in the morning. I want to return to Punta Gorda just so I can stay again. Wonderful.

Well, not quite, but having it delivered at your chosen time, at your patio table is just as good. The menu? Fresh banana or carrot cake or other baked goods, fresh orange juice, and a variety of pineapple, papaya, and/or watermelon. It was a luxury for us and one that was much appreciated. And if you're off early birdwatching or hiking, just ask to have it left in your refrigerator for a latter morning snack.

We loved our second floor unit with the view of and breeze off the ocean. We lounged in the chairs, read, sipped coffee or rum drinks made ourselves, visited the farmers market and chatted with the wonderfully gracious and caring staff. There is a much appreciated air conditioner, refrigerator, toaster, microwave counter top burner, and a selection of plates, silverware and other necessities should you want to cook or warm up your own meal or snack. The bed, pillows, bathroom, and shower were nice too.

There is plenty to do here in up to 5 days. Suggestions: the farmers market with food vendors along the Front Street, kayaking at the marina (preferred at $5 US pp per hour) or you can take a guided trip elsewhere for $150 US pp; day trips to the coffee and spice farms, visits to Blue Cave and Rio Blanco National Park, and of course snorkeling or boat trips too. If you don't have a car, there are plenty of tours available. There's often music in town and they start early, 8:00 or even earlier at some locations. Ask the staff at the inn for times and locations.

May I suggest a side trip to BelCampo Lodge for a gourmet lunch? Oh my, the sliced pork BBQ on naan was exquisite and for only $11. And the coffee! It's the real thing. I must log this into TA as a restaurant (rather than just lodging) to spread the word as it's the best place around to eat. There's a guard at the gate but just tell him you're going in for the restaurant. You are also allowed to in several public areas (others are just for guests). Make a trip down to the river but don't forget that what goes down, must come back up. Fortunately for us, the landscape staff invited us to use the electric lift when we were finished. Much appreciated.

Pardon the digressions. As you can see, we are enthusiastic about our stay here and would like you to enjoy the area and accommodations as much as we did.
