We've stayed here twice now (March 2016 and March 2017) and it's been great both times. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great view of the lake and volcanos. It's a little walk (about 15 minutes) down the beach to the main streets of Pana or about a five minute tuk tuk ride.
We had a terrific stay in one of the casas that we rented. The casa was spacious and very tidy. The furniture is rustic but classic. what could be more unique than a dining room table made from a slab of tree trunk! The couches and tables are constructed of logs. There were enough appliances and dishes for our cooking needs. The bedrooms and big and the beds very comfortable. If you get the chance, rush upstairs to the top floor bedroom and claim it! The king size bed is an extra king. The shower is huge. The view of the lake from the second floor bedroom can only be called romantic. Too bad the lake was foggy during our stay, because laying in bed and looking at a lake would have been spectacular. There is a dining room set of table and chairs on the second floor balcony, one which is huge. A dance could be held on it!
The workers are extremely accommodating as well. The maids come in daily to clean and they even washed our clothes as requested. We had an early departure time, 6:30 a.m, and he was there to close the deal!
Next time we visit lago Atitlan, we know where we will stay.
