This soup had everything imaginable. What an incredible base. Lobster claws, tails, shirimp, octopus and everything filled this delicious coconut basted soup. I asked for the recipe. It is not easy but it tastes delicious. I asked for the recipe and it is complicated. Made by using a fish head to fully get the flavor...and not just coconut milk, it is a combination of the meat I am told. I find that Topado is most similar but not in the way they make it. It is much more complex than the recipes I have discovered. I had a driver in Guatemala that also had a restaurant at night....and he explained the complexity to making the broth. The outside seating is impeccable on the water and in very private if you want to be. Guatemala is known for coconut bread "pancito" and coconut in everything. I love coonut but the soup doesn't taste like pure coconut. Its just a touch of it in the broth. Most amazing thing I've had in decades. Took my breath away with the view and the food. Great local place.
