Me and my girlfriend chose a day pass during our cruise. We were greeted by Arnel he was very nice and even stopped at a few place during the 45min ride to allow us to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. When we reached the resort we were given fresh fruit and fresh juice made from the fruit that fall from the trees at the resort.
They took our order and asked if we wanted our lunch on the beach. They gave us towels and lead us to the beach area. It was very quiet and relaxing.
We walked along the trails and explored the island, it was nature week so we were able to enjoy it in the nude.
This place was better than I expected, will definitely be coming back for a week.

Room Tip: Bring spray for sand flies

My wife and I recently returned from a very blissful week at Paya Bay celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. Prior to going, we reviewed Paya Bay's website and researched every review we could find. What surprised us the most is that we weren't prepared to have our every expectation exceeded. It was more wonderful in every way than we ever imagined! We literally felt like we were living in the garden of Eden It was truly heavenly!

We found peace and tranquility walking the myriad of trails throughout the property. We enjoyed incredible sunsets from strategically positioned loungers. We spent as much time as possible in the hammocks over the water talking, reading and taking naps. We gorged ourselves on the delicious food. Even our daily meditation and Tai chi were more meaningful with the sights, sounds and good energy of Paya Bay. The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. And we found it to be very naturist friendly. The snorkeling was incredible (especially at Pigeon Cay) and we made some new and wonderful friends with other like-minded couples who were there. Like other reviewers, we found it to be peaceful, tranquil and intimate, which is exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed sharing Bliss Beach with cruise ship passengers who were there for the day. Even though it was clear that for some of them this was their first experience to a naturist beach, we found them to be friendly, courteous and polite.

We only have three regrets about our trip. First, that it was only 1 week (next time we are going for at least ten days). Second that we didn't use cream sunscreen (the spray sunscreen was no match for the wind and sun). And, third, that we got complacent the last day and didn't use our Avon Oh So Soft bug spray (much to the delight of the sand flies).

We deeply appreciate the vision and efforts of the family and staff at Paya Bay, and look forward to seeing them all again soon.

Room Tip: The Cliff Side rooms are awesome with the surf crashing directly below.

Just returned from another great week at Paya Bay--our fourth visit! Things are still excellent--the friendly staff, the beautiful views, the excellent food, the fantastic snorkeling--really a fine resort to relax. Only changes on the visit--the free internet seemed much faster, and the pot-holes in the road from the airport more frequent! Paya Bay is truly unique for those wanting a beautiful get-a-way with the opportunity to watch the hummingbirds as you eat a tasty breakfast!

Room Tip: Rooms 1-4 are cantilevered over water with queen beds, 5-8 with water view balconies with king beds

My husband and I came to Naturist week on a Day Trip from our cruise. This was by far one of the best days of our lives. From Arnold picking us up and sharing local detail and interests along the trip to the resort. We were welcomed with wonderful fruit drinks and a view of the hummingbird s from the window of the lobby. The staff was incredibly nice and accomodating. We were given a room to use and change in, towels, beach chairs and a scrumptious lunch served on the beach! We enjoyed full sun all day! Walked the paths to the other zones and met some lovely people. The water was wonderful! Even the soap in the shower was special. This one day was better than our whole cruise! This place is like the Garden of Eden! We want to go back someday for at least a week! If you get the chance to go here then do it!

The attraction of this resort is also its nemesis, the remote location. It is in a fabulous, secluded setting. However, it took nearly 2 hours to get there from the airport. The island's crumbling infrastructure, including the main highway, contribute. The climate makes most items biodegradable, so maintenance is an issue. New structures and new trails have been developed at this resort, but sustaining them will be a challenge. The yoga pavilion roof has holes in it, and the deck boards are beginning to warp. However, the mats, the cushions, and the massage tables were in good shape. During my stay a workman replaced worn out hammocks. Beach chairs were in good shape. There could be more safety equipment, considering some places to swim are rough at times. Electricity and WiFi were available over 95% of the time (neither is 100% where I live in the U.S.). Since there are few guests, you never feel crowded. Weekends attract some non-guests, but they are not too bothersome. Everyone was considerate and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The insects weren't too bad. I had a hilltop room, which is over twice the size of a cliffside room. It was in good, clean condition. Housekeeping had my room made up by 8:30 am every morning. I did not need air conditioning. The food served was consistently good, with a variety of choices, and in reasonable portions. A real strength of this resort is the friendliness, helpfulness, and positive attitude of all the employees. This is the place to go and feel like you are family.
