...this is what you see in your mind. This beach is absolutely beautiful, as is the surrounding area. I wish we had planned to spend more time in the area. The beach was also uncrowded when we were there, which was icing on the cake. Be warned though, parking is limited.

This beach was great. It was serene and peaceful. The sand is a cool salt and pepper color. The water was nice and the beach wasn’t crowded at all.

If you are going to do the road to Hana, drive straight here without stopping and spend a glorious couple hours. Then drive back making stops along the way. Hamoa beach is far enough away from the tourist crowd to make this feel like you are on your own private island. The water is warm and perfect for swimming or bobbing in the waves. It is surrounded by trees and interesting rock formations, so just sitting on the beach staring at the blue waters will make all your winter blahs go away.

We stopped here shortly on our way to Haleakalā National Park. I would have loved to stay longer and maybe even spend a whole day here at the beach.

Notice: It seems that the restaurant and the restrooms are currently being renovated (Feb 10, 2018).
