When I book a reservation and don't have a historic point of view, I nearly always look at Hampton Inns. I have yet to be disappointed by the accommodations and personnel. That is until today...
I generally try to leave room service a little thank you tip for their support, especially for multiple day stays. I looked in my wallet, and all I had were $20s, so I stopped by the front desk, where Skyler was working. I addressed my need to get change for the 20, and he said he didn't have change to give me, but that I could walk/drive 1/4 mile down the street to the Meijer store to get change. I ended up asking folks in the breakfast area if anyone had change, and felt like some sort of panhandler in the process. Skyler's reply to me was essentially a big "FU". I will think long and hard before staying here again. This alone kept my from giving the hotel a 4 star rating.
Note: Just so you don't think I am an angry person, nearly all of my reviews are positive ones.More
