Stumbled out of the old Medina and noticed the cannons on the wall “guarding” the restaurant. We were interested in trying the tajine so we wandered in. The restaurant layout is beautiful with some scattered indoor and outdoor seating and traditional garden decor.

Our waiter was very friendly and service was good. When it came time for the food, we ordered mint tea, octopus salad, beef and lamb tajine. The salad was good but slightly too bland. It could have used a little more vinegar to combat the blandness. The tajine was also good but not great. The meat was tender enough but the overall flavor of the dish was lacking. There wasn’t enough in the supplementary components of the dish to complement the flavor of the meat.

Overall, the food was solid but nothing special. The worst part is that our meal for two cost over 400 MAD. That ten times more expensive than tajine at a local restaurant. It is definitely a tourist trap but if you’re prepared for that, it’s not bad.

Thank Ivor M

Cool spot to have lunch. Old fort garden restaurant with a big menu. Delicious food and nice staff. Mint tea was very good too. Definitely stop here for a meal when in Casablanca

This is a wonderful oasis away from the hustle & bustle of Casablanca. Hidden away behind the walls of the original fort overlooking the harbour (complete with the original cannons), it is a quiet leafy spot to enjoy a great meal.
We had lunch here with friends on a Saturday and while it was very busy there were plenty of waiting staff to keep things moving & not too long to wait for the meal.
The food was delicious with all of us enjoying fish, kebabs and tajines.
They don't serve alcohol, but do make some wonderfully fresh fruit cocktails.
It appears to be popular with both locals and tourists and we can certainly recommend it as a great spot to eat in Casablanca.

We went for breakfast (petit déjeuner) after. The restaurant is an easy 15/20 minute walk from Mohammed Hassan II. The signature breakfast includes a trio of sweet baked goods as well as bread, cream cheese, jelly, honey, olive oil, amlou, fruit and eggs with beef.
