The riad is only 2 minutes walking from the main street of the Medina. It is wonderful as you can see through the pictures, and it has a terrace where you can have breakfast or enjoy your Berber the with an amazing view of the Medina.
We have the room downstairs, bigger then the average rooms in riad and very clean.

We would like to thank Aziza and Zaccaria for their kindness. We really appreciate their help and everything they have done for us.

Moreover, we recommend to ask Zaccaria for the Medina guide tour (it has been very interesting!) and for the desert tour (3 days, 2 nights) with Ismail and Slimane: it's fantastic!

We arrived late in the evening from Chefchaouen by bus, tired and dirty. We were welcomed and given tea before we even started the check in process. They were warm and hospitality was genuine. Our bags were taken to our room and we were shown around the Riad.

It has the most beautiful terrace which looks out over the Old Medina. It has a beautiful indoor area on the Terrace of it gets chilly. Decorate tastefully.

We were taken to our most spacious room with one of the biggest double beds I have ever seen. The bathroom was well equipped with a hairdryer for my wife and daughter. The shower was hot and it was so good after the journey we had to endure.

After a peaceful nights rest we had a delicious breakfast served in the inner court. They even made us more coffee and tea. We were given a map and shown the main sights to see as we only had a day

We vacated our room before exploring and they willingly stored our bags. We got back from a full day exhausted and on seeing us were offered tea even though we had checked out already. We were told to relax and spend time with them while we waited for our overnight bus which only departed at 21:30

The best part of our conversation was the line "This house is your house, you are always welcome.

As South Africans we need to count our penny's as the Rand is weak. So for value for money I can definitely say we were happy.

Come to Fez, stay at Riad Noujoun

Happy travelers

Riad Noujoum is in the Fes medina, the old market souk area. It is owned by a French family with a great staff. Zeeko and Zak were helpful as well as the warm housekeeping staff. I had room #5 which is the top floor before before going to the terrace. It is well kept and quaint with a shower and sink and shared toilet across the hall. Warning, the ceiling is a bit low so if you are over 6'2" you are probably going to bump your head. The wifi and hot water are excellent! Breakfast comes with the cost of the room and is served from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m--egg, mint tea/cafe aulait, fresh bread with jam and pasteurized cheese, orange juice, etc. The madrasas are close-by as well as the Blue Gate and tons of shopping souks within steps of the your doorstep. Taxis are going to try to make you pay to 30 to 50 dihram from the train station. Refuse to pay this amount; it should only cost 10 to 15 dihram. Ville Nouvelle is a 20 minute wall and close to the public gardens and Jewish mellah area. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. I would definitely come here again.

Room Tip: Room #5 is for one person. The other rooms are huge in comparison with lovely floors, high ceilings, and full bathrooms.
