I am a self confessed technophobe so this is my first and probably only online review. I am making an exception because of our stay at Riad Idra. We can endorse the previous reviews, though it is difficult to put into words just how good this riad is. The Riad is ideally situated within the Medina, though you would not know it, it is an amazingly calm and peaceful place, the perfect foil to the full-on experience that is Marrakesh. The rooms are decorated to an exceptional standard with antiques and are kept spotlessly clean. The central courtyard and roof top terrace (where breakfast is served) echo the grandeur of a riad with fountains, trees and exotic birds. In all everything you would expect from a five star accommodation BUT what really sets Riad Idra apart from its competitors and probably the reason why it is already ranked 12 by trip advisor despite only being open since 2011, is the staff. From the moment you arrive Karine and her team make you feel welcome and at home without being intrusive or stuffy. Nothing is too much trouble. There is probably a lot going on behind the scenes - you are not aware of it - the service is that seamless. We loved Marrakesh but couldn't wait to get back to relax and soak up the unique atmosphere of this very special place.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing. If you prefer more light choose the first floor rooms.

Dear Angela,

I really wanted to thank you for sharing a wonderful review regarding your stay at Riad Idra. I’m glad you liked our Riad and all its different places like the rooftop, rooms and courtyard. Our 7 rooms are all different and the housekeepers clean it twice a day.
It’s good to read you enjoyed your stay in Marrakech and we hope to see you again very soon.

All the best :).

From the first moment we read about Riad Idra, we set our hearts on staying there during our visit to Marrakech. And we were proved right: the Riad exceeded our expectations. Words do not really suffice to describe how special we were made to feel. First off, we were met by the friendly Salah who escorted us through a narrow alley way to a big wooden door, behind which we found a haven of tranquility and style. The staff at Riad Idra are most helpful and they really made us feel at home. From the welcoming smiles of Amine and Rabie, the wonderful dinners created by Abdel and his staff (even catering for a veggie!), the warm hospitality and the useful suggestions of manager Karine, to the lovely breakfasts prepared by Naima and served by the ever friendly Rabie, and of course the excellent mint tea prepared by Omar. We really did not want to leave and are looking forward to a visit in the not too distant future. Congratulations to all of you and keep up the good work! Sukran bezzef, Bernadette and Beppie

Truly lovely and welcoming. The decor is just breathtaking and the staff and riad puppy are lovely! We stayed for two nights and definitely made the most of the free chanel no5. Additionally, the riad owner made sure a member of staff accompanied us (two women) to the main square which was really thoughtful.

In all our rooms there are, indeed, some Chanel perfume, so our guest can use it during their stay at the Riad.
We look forward to your next stay at Riad Idra.

First off, let me start by saying that the staff is EXCELLENT! Every hotel should train their staff to be as kind, welcoming, and accommodating as Riad Idra's team.

Karine, Amile, and Omar are the best. The chef welcomed me in his kitchen to watch him prepare our delicious 3-course meal our first evening. Omar taught me how to make he's amazing tea one afternoon...the service can't be beat!!

The daily breakfast, which is included in your rate, is delicious and fresh. Our traditional Hammam spa treatment was delightful, a definite must.

Our room was spotless everyday...if you are a "germaphobe" like myself, you can rest at peace knowing that your room will exceed your expectations when it comes to cleanliness.

We cannot wait to return! Your friends from the "Bermuda Triangle".

Room Tip: The Amal Junior Suite is spacious for a couple.

Fantastic Riad, a real oasis of class and calm within the madness of the medina. The style and harmony of this top boutique is matched only by the care of the service. Beautiful rooms, wonderful breakfasts on the rooftop, and the massage in the spa was as good as any you would find anywhere in Bali. We had dinner in the Riad on the Sunday eve and can recommend the monkfish tagine, served in style by Omah, as near perfection.

Room Tip: Take a look at the website. The pictures are a good indicator.

When you arrive at Riad Idra, the first thing you notice is the smell of orange blossoms and you feel relaxed almost immediately. The employees and the owner make you feel at home and the food (especially the breakfast) is something you look forward to waking up. In the morning nothing but the singing birds that live in the courtyard are waking you up, all in all really the place you are looking for if you need a cozy and quiet place to go to from the hustle and bustle in the Medina. We will come back!

Dear Lina,

Thank you for your lovely review.
We burn some orange blossom fragrance in the courtyard, I’m glad you still have it on mind ;). Our Riad is very small, with 7 bedrooms and 11 staff members and the most important for us is our guest feel at home when they come to Riad Idra.
We hope you’ll be back to your Moroccan home soon.

All the best,

Karine & the team
